For the finals, I have taken the top 3 from each part and put it in this poll. There is also an extra, due to high demand.

Damn how many votes do we get? Top 3?

If I only get one:

Punisher

If three:

1. Punisher
2. Silver Surfer
3. Iron Man

But she was not voted into the finals?

"That's what they want you to think..."

Who said that?

"ME."

Damn when was the previous poll and how come I wasn't consulted. I had to go with Iron Man since Punisher did not make the final.

Since the question was, who is the best, I would asy that Phoenix is the best outof that list. Simply because she could take on all the others and win, without even breathing hard.

My favourite from the poll is another matter.

I'm amazed the Hulk isn't here. He's also one of the long time Marvel movie franchises.

Gambit, by far the best hero ever - and the best thing to hit the X-Men series, whether comic, cartoon or film. Awesomely cool, hugely powerful (could've destroyed the world if he hadn't had his powers contained) and just generally badass.

Off the poll? Wolverine. Captain America is still the best over-all, though, with Frank Castle coming up a close second.

In terms of powers, Phoenix is probably the most powerful. Rogue and Wolverine would come a close second.

In terms of personality, Iron Man or Rogue are probably best, depending on which writers you go with. Iron Man has been written as kind of a moron sometimes, but mostly is pretty cool, and Rogue is a surprisingly well-done character if you can get past the cheesecake that the inkers usually slather on.

Is there any headliner Marvel hero who hasn't, at one point or another, had powers that Totally Could Destroy The World?

Cause seriously, I remember that plot line from like 15-20 different comics. Even Wolverine's regenerating ability was going to be used to create an invincible disease to Totally Destroy The World at one point. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a storyline about how some Morlock with goofy ears actually finds out that his ears have been psychically contained lest they grow so goofy that they Totally Destroy The World.

So not only is the god-moding of Gambit not entertaining, it's not even something that sets him beyond any of the other heroes in that universe.

Also, badass? Ooh, gambling and making wisecracks! He's gonna get detention for sure!

This is also why Gambit bores me, but I apply the same line of thinking to Wolverine - the only xmen I've ever really liked are rogue, beast, and nightcrawler.

Wolverine pisses me off, because he's got so much potential but the character is always so tedious.

Bottle reminded meof the time that Galactus tinkered with Dazzler and put her up to god mode, then exploded a galaxy in order to make enough sound to power her. She was definitely charging her proverbial laser.

Don't dis Dazzler. she can focus that beam of light to a powerful laser. it's hard to fight her when you are blinded by her power. she's best friends with an intergalatic teleporter. and she made a name and a life outside of fighting crime.

and heck. she even stopped the unstoppable Juggernaut.
Granted it was because she drained herself down to the point of fainting at his feet. and Juggs was a HUGE Dazzler fan. so he stopped and took her to the hospital cuz he was afraid that he killed her.

I'm fairly sure that out of all the people on that list, the only one that Gambit could beat was Nightcrawler. And even then it wouldn't be an easy fight.

Well, he's already beaten Wolverine, and one touch on the Iron Man suit, finished...

I dont think the rest would be much of a problem, their powers not being significantly better or worse than Gambit's...

Phoenix would probably be the biggest problem...for anyone, she's just not that cool of a character...

And Wolverine has beaten him. Several times.

Stark could easily defeat Gambit by simply controlling any satellite weaponry and shooting Gambit from orbit. He wouldn't even have to be in his suit.

Rogue easily defeated him in the comics.

Spider-Man is stronger, faster, has more experience, is better at hand to hand combat, and can simply avoid the exploding card trick with his spider sense until he gets close enough to pound Gambit into the ground.

Phoenix, of course, could easily defeat Gambit.

And that leaves Nightcrawler. Nightcrawler is fast. Faster than Gambit. But is he faster than Gambits exploding card trick? Gambit's got a stick, but Nightcrawler can wield three swords at the same time. Tough call. Gambit's power gives him an edge, which is why I think he'd win eventually. But it wouldn't be easy.

Nightcrawler can -teleport-. It would be rather difficult for him to lose a fight against someone without the ability to see the future, what with the whole 'I teleport somewhere you don't expect me and kick you in the head until you fall over with brain damage' thing.

Gambit is pretty good at hand to hand combat though. he could probabaly take it for a while. Could he take it long enough that Nightcrawler gets exhausted from telelportation (Do the newer versions of Nightcrawler get tired from too much teleporting like the old version?)?

Nightcrawler might be able to take him, if he can figure out a way to stay ahead of Gambit's cards.
