Who would play you in the cast of NSG: The Movie?

Inspired by a post in another thread, I am asking my fellow Generalities who they think should play them if NSG was made into a movie.

And please make suggestions of who should play other posters as well.

Seth Macfarlane is almost exactly my age, from almost exactly where I'm from and has almost exactly my sense of humor. I'd need to see how well he can take a tackle and a kick to the crotch before I make a final decision, but he's definitely a candidate. *nod*

I'd be reluctant to let anybody use my identity in a film. Fuckers never get the people they're based on right. However, if forced I'd probably pick Lisa Kudrow. Her performance as phoebe could easily be adapted to fit my personality. You'd have to dye her hair red-pink though.

edit! my girlfriend just suggested to me the girl that played Darleene in Roseanne. That is me pretty much down. not even THAT physically different, though she was a lot skinnier than me. of course she hasn't taken into account that she only looked like that more than a decade ago. :P

The problem with threads like this is, we don't really know anything about the personality of most celebrities, which are often nothing like the roles they play. For example the rather mild mannered, generally unassuming, good natured, if a bit sarcastic, british gentleman of Hugh Laurie is nothing like the character of gregory house.

The "honest" way to answer the question is to try to pick actors who have a demonstrated range such that they could probably portray our personalities. What it inevitably becomes, however, is a game of "pick the fictional character I want to pretend I am like".

Which, if we're going to play that game, I totally call Alan Shore.

The honest way and the not so honest way, wouldn't they pretty much be the same thing though? I do admit I picked Mr. Laurie because of his role as Gregory House, but I also picked him because there is a slight resemblance between him and me. If you take away my crooked jaw, my facial paralysis, and the obvious scar on the right side of my face, it could be pulled off.

Heh, well, sure. But the problem is, when you break characters down to general terms, they can resemble us "normals". But what makes interesting characters interesting is that they take their characteristics to superhuman, perhaps even archetypal levels. Which they are able to do for the sole reason they have that which we lack. Writers.

I might be sarcastic, smart-assed and assholish, but I can go only so far as my own natural with and humor allows me. Which, while I admit, is fairly far, it pales in comparison to the depth of wit and snarkiness one can achieve when backed by an entire creative writing staff, and days to come up with a line or monologue that the character "comes back" with in a matter of seconds.

In short, I'm a good lawyer. But I'm nowhere near as good as he. Because I don't have people who write my lines for me, solely to make me that.

Well, yes. But you are pretty much Alan Shore if Alan Shore were a real person. I mean, you probably also occasionally reference things like "caselaw" and "precedent" when making legal arguments, rather than just being much much wittier than opposing counsel, and I suspect you do not actually really aggressively hit on every woman you work with, since that would tend to get you fired. But if you left out all the Things That Actual Lawyers Just Don't Do...you're pretty much Alan Shore. :p

Now I'm trying to think of actresses out there (British preferably) who are suitably short and curvy to fit me (seriously, 5"2' with 36" bust, 25" waist, 36" hips - finding clothes is a bitch). I'll admit drawing a bit of a blank since most actresses go for stick insect these days it seems.
