The details of my life are quite inconsequential... very well, where do I begin? My father was a relentlessly self-improving boulangerie owner from Belgium with low grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery. Alright: My face is not attractive, but not ugly, either, being slightly unique. My hair and eyes are brown. I am 6' 1", and I tend to dress unusually (be it 1930's or 1830's style).

My chief interest is political science. My personality is dry, cynical, pessimistic, and generally unpleasant. I do not believe in love. I am dystheistic, but I worship greatness. I enjoy art music, especially Rossini, Schubert and Haydn. I like paintings and sculpture, especially of the female nude. My favorite film is Barry Lyndon. My favorite poem is The Conqueror Worm. I knew someone was going to ask that, I just thought it would be Wilgrove. As an agnostic, I don't know if god(s) exist or not, and it really doesn't matter. I do believe you can have a spiritual life without necessarily believing in deity. As a pagan, I believe that our spiritual life manifests itself in nature and in other people. The images (which are not deity) of deity are used to focus on aspects of nature and self. The existence of deity is unimportant, how we manifest our nature(s) is.

This isn't my first time to the rodeo, mister. I've done this before, on NS no less, and belive me there were a LOT of pictures drawn. Way more than thirty. The thread was 27 pages long IF I recall correctly and I may not be. it was... several years ago and I was a whole different person.

I'm just saying, the Kat picture was very wordy, you mentioned difficulty with the concept of Kat, I'm thinking it'll be like that piano player trying to perfect Rachmaninov's whatever, it'll eat your brain, snap and heroin will soothe the pain.

The words ARE the art. sometimes the funny stick figures make me smile but it's usually the batshit dialogue that gives people the giggles. And you're only getting that in truth form because it's 6:35am, I haven't slept, I'm depressed (protip; the last time I made this thread I was more depressed than I ever have been, and now it's back so dots. connect them.) and I can't be bothered being in 'master artist' asshole mode. Now you might not have enquired but it's my godsdamn thread and I can be a random attentionwhore if I so please.

I get you - If my humour is the kind you dig you should probably check out kate beaton. She does much the same stuff as me but it's historically oriented. It's what I WOULD be doing had she not done it first, what with me being an amateur historian and all. In fairness since her area of historical interest is... renaissance/industrial age stuff and mine is the classical (BC) world then we'd probably be able to run side by side. The only problem being people would think I stole my reciting historical events in a contemporary fashion statement from her when it's been something I've been doing to make people interested in ancient history for ages. As you may have gathered I like to talk about things at length people may not be interested in but I at least try and mix it up a bit by getting people to laugh whilst they accidentally learn stuff. :D

I imagine by now I seem fucking batshit but gods like I said, this is my fucking thread and I'm trying to use it to get to know the current lot of NSG people a bit better whilst providing people with some smiles. But I am... notorious for taking any excuse to ramble about my shit to complete strangers. it's why counselling worked well for me. an excuse to walk into a room with someone I don't even know and just talk about my stuff for a bit? gods, talk about a wonderful experience. problem with this place is that they don't take psychological ANYTHING seriously so I can't get access to anything like that without waiting for months for a referral and even then they'd not give me very regular appointments, like one every 2 months or so. Not enough. Erk. Sorry.

Controlled insanity is the best kind. I got no problems with the ranting either; I did the same thing (ask anyone on NSG). Maybe get a blog? It worked for some other people I know, they got to vent steam and feel better.

And Neesika, it's fine, I know. I'll put something together perhaps a little bit ahead of the queue. I'm not saying that I've already drew a little something about all of my friends anyway but I'm not saying I've -not- either. in all seriousness this would probably be a lot better if I had a scanner. I don't actually do the stickfigures because it's my style or anything, it's because they're all I can manage using mspaint and a trackpad. Besides, everyone who asks for a picture is really doing me a favour. This keeps my mind sharp and happy and distracted. I mean it's 5:51am and I'm getting manic again. Actually -really- manic.

So how well do you speak french then? I've been considering getting in contact with a local colleges french department to get onto a course.

Well I suppose you are a LOT closer to quebec than I am. I'm also considering german simply because if I could keep a straight face, yelling at people in german would possibly be the finest accomplishment possible for me in life. But I like the sound of french. Thing is, my girlfriend wants to do spanish so I'm not sure if I'll compromise in that regard. all we seem to have decided is that we want to learn something besides english. :P
