Yeah pretty shit, I used to do this crap when I was younger and did bring a thrill but I never came up with some shit name like Powersliding and certainly not a sport.

Plenty of kids have been doing similar things for years.

Yes. This is definitely the case. I am jealous of people sliding down banisters, but I have a reason for it. You see, I have a medical condition called "Narrow Ass" which means that my butt cannot stay on a bar for more than two or three seconds before it falls off and I go spilling across the floor.

Maybe if you made a huge track and had races. It could be like bobsledding, but on your ass.

But it wouldn't be like "omg, look at me go down one flight of stairs on a railing, I'm like Dennis the Menace".

Lame attempts at parkour that don't work, so you invent a new name.

Also, powersliding is done using power. Specifically, a 150+hp/ton rear wheel drive car.

if they kill themselves they improve the breed and make more room for the rest of us.

Fucking impressive.

Makes me wonder why gymnastics coaches aren't trying to get these guys into their programs. Probably too bourgeois? Apparently they've never heard of endorsement deals for the very best, and it seems these guys' fearlessness could easily make them revolutionaries in gymnastics.

My only gripe with most of these sports is the scoring -- but that's my gripe with gymnastics and figure skating, too. Diving's a bit more cut-and-dried, pardon the pun, but the subjectivity makes "sport" a very loose term. Much more so for "extreme" sports.
