If he keeps his promise of constantly tweaking programs, cutting programs that don't work and basically evolving his strategy over time, then yes. While I agree with some of his ideas and disagree with others, I like his flexible thoughtful style of leadership. If he becomes a rigid defensive partisan 'father knows best' type like another former President I could name who won't let go of bad ideas because they are his then I suspect that the good and bad aspects of it will be more or less a wash.

That goes double for Congress. Obama might provide an outline, but it's COngress that fills in the details.

Edit: For a moment, I thought this was going to be about the new puppy.

As in it is "Barack" not "Barrck", both names should be capitalized, and "you" has three letters in it.

No, you created this thread. The NationStates General Forum you have been at for some little time, but clearly have not yet absorbed that we do have a certain standard required of posters - making mistakes (such as your spelling of "grammar") is fine, but just not trying is not.

Yes the thread sorry. But there are more threads. I belive in worrying more about the point im trying to make then spelling. Spelling is what we make of it. Its a man made system making changes every couple of years. So i will try to pay more attention to spelling but if i make a typo you dont have to correct it.

The point you are trying to make is communicated through the language you use. Two important components of that language (or any language) are spelling and grammar. If you can't even take the time to apparently attempt the proper use of either, then why the hell should anyone be bothered to decipher the point you are trying to make--which, btw, isn't raising any optimism in readers because of the lack of being properly communicated.

Whether you like it or not, you are communicating through the medium of language. It thus behooves you to actually care about its form and function.

As an aside, your point is a made made system that changes every couple of years. Arguments are man made systems. Hell, logic is, by and large, a man made system. Nonsense statements are nonsense.

New guy. Calm down. We are pretty tolerant of ignoring grammar and some minor spelling mistakes here, but you produced excessive amounts of them this time. So from now on give a quick proof reading to your messages before posting. Also we have done way to many Obama threads so lets not go there.

Also you want the start of a thread to be a little bit longer. Maybe link an article and give a hint as to your viewpoint.

"Here's my attitude," Obama begins: "I think passing a law about people spelling correctly is a waste of time. We should be focused on creating jobs, improving our schools, getting health care, dealing with the war in Iraq. Any poster who's worrying about correct spelling probably needs to spend time focusing on real problems out there.

"Having said that," he added, "brothers should spell correctly. You're writing by your mother, your grandmother and your bad grammar's showing, what's going on with that? Posting in this thread with your bad grammar showing?

Not if it's signed "Barrck obama" instead of "Barack Hussein Obama". I fear that it wouldn't even be considered valid, were that the case.
