That was pretty good. Not amazing, but pretty good certainly for such a show. She "Pulled a Paul" so to say :P

Don't know the source material, but from hearsay, I understand she sang it really well.

Discuss, NSG. Was she really that good? Did it surprise you? Do you want to see her win this show?

I searched Jolt Forums for Susan Boyle. Nothing. So, I thought I was clear.

EDIT: Besides, my title is better, I think.

If her victory prize is a chance to kick Simon Cowell in the nuts then that's an emphatic yes. :p

Oh, and she has a hell of a set of pipes on her.

Wow. Makes me miss the days when singers were chosen for ability rather then looks. She likely would have been discovered and made Famous in the days before Tv. Never would have been possible on American shows either.

I don't know what fails more, the fact that they named their son after POL POT or that they ADMIRE him (such is what I assume you mean by 'love')

I'd like to see a link to said interview; otherwise I am inclined to think it moonshine.

People are pathetic and love an underdog story. She's not a particularly good singer, her breath control is all over the place, erratic use of vibrato, her voice cracks on both the lowest and highest notes, and she's flat for an entire verse.

She is good for someone who hasn't had serious training in singing.
She she had been discovered as a teenager she could have been taught to over come those weaknesses and strengthen her strong suits.

The coverage of this woman was some of the most puerile, patronising bullshit I've ever had the misfortune to suffer.

'Ugly Woman Sings Quite Well; Millions Cry After Amanda Holden Does'.

Bugger it all.
