I carry a water bottle with me all day, and fill it whenever I pass a water fountain. If you want a flavored drink, you could do that and get some drink mix to add as well.
It's great-- I used to get headaches fairly often, but now I'm much better hydrated and they're much less frequent.

Between classes, you want straight vodka or vodka mixed with some sort of fruit juice. It's odorless and colorless, and passes as water. That's the key to drinking between classes.

Beer and Gin&Tonic. If the latter - particularly good in schools, unis and at work - best to mix your own, but if you're too lazy for that, look out for it at least being made with gin rather than simple flavoring.

When I was younger I might do that. Shoot I used to be able to trip and get A's in class. Now I think my rule is no alcohol from 2 hours before class (8Am) until classes end for the day at around 4 pm. That and writing papers while drunk has been know to get me C's.

Hey, congrats on trying to drink a little cheaper. Since hard liquors tend to run a little higher than soda...
I'd probably suggest water for the cheapness...
I've recently become a fan of Life/Vitamin water, but something to look into for cheapness is the little individual serve powder packet thingies that you dump in a bottle of water and shake for about ten minutes...
My mother swears by them. She just washes her used water bottles and makes a delicious beverage out of those all the time.

0 calorie sodas have, indeed, sugar, even if they call it "sucralose" or whatever. Take a look at the stickies. Not only that, some have high concentrations of sodium and other crap that the soda companies put on them that, in the end, are harmful for your body.

Well, yes... so if you're wanting to save money then just cut back. Or start buying 2L bottles instead of cans/small bottles. You get more volume per cost. Dump some in a water bottle and you're good to take it on the road.

Get one of those bottle cap grippey things. You can tighten the lids to the point where it's impossible to remove without using the grip thinger and it helps keep pop from going flat longer.
Well, you can also do things like buy cases of pop instead of individual cans/bottles since they're still cheaper in bulk than they are individually. Or you could just cut back on your pop consumption without eliminating it since you enjoy the sugary goodness.
