So NSG, after Steppenwolf just started streaming through my laptop, this question was placed in my mind. Did you ever think you were born to be wild? You know, stick it to the man and do your own thing?

Have you stuck it to the man or did it remain a dream? Are you the one people say to "You used to be cool.What happened?"

Or do you believe all this born to be wild stuff is some crazy hippie/punk dream that should be quashed?

I want my life to be wild and so far I think I am doing it a bit within my means. Walking home from parties at 7 in the morning when it started at midday the day before, generall ending up in places I didn't know existed etc. However the calls of uni assignments constrain me and that is what I am currently trying to avoid to do.

Sticking it to the man? I think I'm not alone when I say I prefer to stick it to the woman...

Marriage and kids have not greatly altered the intensity of my mischief, merely the frequency.

Rare was the week that I didn't have at least one person vowing that vengeance would one day be theirs. Now it's closer to once a month. A little more frequently in the summer. *nod*

The whole 'born to be wild' mindset seems all to often to be linked to instant gratification so for that reason I wasn't 'born to be wild'

Instant gratification when done properly is often followed by several days of letting the cuts and bruises heal. It all evens out. :)

The stuff that takes planning, practice and preparation is always oh so much better in my mind.

And yes I know they aren't mutually exclusive but the people who describe themselves as wild tend, in my experience, to be all about the instant gratification

I believe this thread was unintentionally created with myself in mind. I was born to be wild and that's pretty much how my life is, no regrets and all that jazz.

Nah, I'm more of the "It's Hip to be Square" type. Except I'm not all that hip, either.

I've always dreamed about living wild on a deserted island. Until Survivor came along and ruined it for me.

actually my idea of wild is about living natural, mostly as a hermit, and not sticking anything to anyone. just avoiding the hell out of having to deal with any one not covered with fur, possessing a tail and walking on at leas four legs.

Yeah I can act a bit wild at times, all weekenders where you only get 4 hours of broken sleep travelling between different parties and generally just causing a mess wherever you go. Beer bongs combined with 2m long slip and slides FTW.

I am still to young and 'cool' to say I used to be cool what happened?
