Favorite form of execution

Wilgrove

What is your favorite form of execution? Mine would have to be The Guillotine, it was a pretty simple device, yet very effective. Also the simple fact that be heading by Guillotine became a spectator's sport during the French Revolution kinda tells you how awesome of a machine it was.

I must concur on the guillotine. That was a device invented in primitive times that was simple, efficient, and actually started being used because it was "less cruel" then the previous method - beheading by axe.

A certian Hungarian noble really really liked the Guillotine, but got sick of sharpening the blade after each execution. So, he made a change.

Instead of your head being sliced off with a blade, instead a 5 ton rock just falls and crushes your head into pulp. Just as quick, but you dont have to sharpen anything!

Its also a lot messier.

Just one of those odd tidbits Ive picked up over the course of getting my degree :D

Well as perverse as this line of questioning is I feel compelled to answer.

If it's me who's getting killed I want to die as poetically and awesomely as possible. I say firring squad with a last cigarette and some nice inspiring inflammatory last words before I die in a hail of gunfire.

Plus I'd make the bastard pay for the bullet...

Honestly, of the three real Lector movies (Silence, Hannibal, and Red Dragon), Silence is my least favorite. It set up Lector really well, and his moments in that movie are just bad ass, but the Buffalo Bill character is just kinda lame.

The only thing that makes Red Dragon superior (I mean, really? A Norman Bates character? Thats the best you can do? How original!) is the presence of my man-crush, Edward Norton.

Hannibal is my personal favorite. But I do love all three movies.

If he skirts the rule without breaking it, then there is no issue. Calling someone a name they have asked not to be called is, in fact, breaking the rules. If you dislike the way he treats you, but he isn't breaking the rules of the forum, then you can put him on ignore. Or, you can continue to call him puddles, despite him asking you not to, and end up with a warning for flaming.

Seems like a pretty simple choice.

Incidentally, in classroom management, they frequently teach you that you are the biggest source of disruption in the room. Yeah, there is bad behavior, but your response to it is frequently what elevates it. Ignoring him, be it through will power or by blocking him, would pretty well take care of the issue.

Neo Art was being acting rude:

I don't have a "favorite way to cause death of other human beings", and question the mental stability of those who do.

Sounds almost like Fass.

And so Wilgrove called him "Puddles". Neo Art reacted by making fun of Wilgrove's physical features; that is about as proper as a racial slur.

*shrug* either/or really, but isn't you calling me names sorta like the hideously deformed, incredibly ugly pot that everyone points at and says "ugh" calling the kettle black?

You know, you remind me of Flood. He has this snotty attitude where he thinks he's better than everyone else because he used to be a very powerful program in the Matrix universe before he was forced to go into exile. He has this holier than thou attitude too, and looks down on everyone else. Of course he also has a french accent. However, at the end of the day he's just The Merovingian Bitch. I am going to call you Puddles from now on.

Ok Puddles, whatever you say.

Mmmm, I love the smell of mutual flamebait in the evening. The pet names are a nice touch, really.

don't you have signature lines to count? I'm sure there's at least one left that's 9 lines long.

Somewhere.

I have told you once that I do not wish to be addressed in that fashion. I won't ask again, and will merely direct it to the moderators, who have already ruled before that posters are not supposed to address players by names when a request has been made to not do so.

For someone who pays such close attention to the rules, you seem perfectly content to ignore them, Neo Art.

You could just put him on ignore if you dislike him so.

That is an excellent suggestion. But for now, I'll just mention that the next time I see Wilgrove and Neo Art squabbling, I'll give them an opportunity to do it elsewhere.

My banhammer has not seen much use lately, but that may change, especially in the case of two veteran posters who know better.

Neo Art was being acting rude:

There's a rule against "acting rude" now? Is this another one of those "No discussing genitals in a thread about oral sex!" edicts you seem to like to imagine into existence?

(And further, seriously, saying that daydreaming about how you'd like to kill people doesn't so much sound like the activity of a healthy mind is "rude"? Is it also "rude" to say something like, "Wanting to rape toddlers is bad"?)

And so Wilgrove called him "Puddles". Neo Art reacted by making fun of Wilgrove's physical features; that is about as proper as a racial slur.

I'm not defending NA's decision to flame; I think it was a poor one - but I also think it's ridiculous to pretend like Wilgrove was some sort of innocent victim here, when he unquestionably started the flaming in his "puddles" post.

True. Both are kinda at fault. Pull on the dog's tail and you will be bitten. however, as much as it's the dog's fault, half of the blame is on the one doing the pulling.

I can even take cat naps while floating...

Eventually you will get tired, eventually you will strain to keep a level head, eventually you will struggle to keep afloat, and eventually you will drown. The sensation of beeing drowned is not the best thing in the world, I must add. And they are blindfolded to freak them out, but binding their hands would also freak them out. But only the former is done because binding their hands would make it too quick. And there are people to poke you with poles on the side if you go asleep.

Something vicious that isn't boring to the spectators.

How about a naval battle in the Colosseum? (http://www.vroma.org/images/mcmanus_images/naumachia.jpg)

Firing Squad.

Nothing seems more bad ass then walking into the guys cell (Thats overcrowded ofcourse), pulling out a pistol and shooting 'em in the head.

Depends what for. In general, I'd have to say hanging. A corpse doing the rope dance generally sends out the right kind of message. It'd also be sort of entertaining if you have the right kind of sick-fuck mind.

I oppose the death penalty. That said, historically, I'd have to go with Le Rasoir National.

S/He is not Handcuffed or RESTRAINED IN ANY OTHER WAY. so I can remove the blindfold and volia.

and if there are people on the side with poles (not mentioned), even better, I can then grab the pole and pull them in or climb out myself.

pull enough people into the water and I'll float on their bodies.
