Every one of those, except for Alex Jones, is a conservative talk show host.
If I must pick from conservatives, then I will chose John and Ken.

Every one of those I recognize is a conservative talk show host.
The conservatives are more popular in the US....
Alex Jones is a conspiracy theorist, not sure about his poltical philosohphy, Glenn Back is basically conservative, but seems to be leaning more libertarian recently. Neal Boortz is completely liberterian from what I understand...
What is your favorite, do you have a favorite?

They are so popular here in Southern California they are making the headlines. They tear apart Republicans and Democrats by routinely playing clips of them promising things, then doing the opposite once elected. Their main cause is lower spending and taxes, and they are mercilessly sarcastic when talking about politicians.

Sounds like my kind of show ;) I like poltical sarcasm/humor, and I can't stand the US 2 party system, I think both parties are no good....

im gonna have to go with dr laura (even though its more than 2 years since ive heard her show and she may have gone even crazier since then)
the political people do republican talking points making it the same show over and over again. the "shock jocks" are juvenile. the liberals arent all that good.
but dr laura is either spot on or so out there that it gives you something to talk about for the rest of the day.
her "i am my own religious guru and know more than the learned rabbis" crap is more than a little annoying but for all i know she might not do that any more.

They are better than most talk-show hosts for mainly two reasons:
1: Rather than merely whining, they are generally laughing and mocking.
2: They not much for defending any politicians. None of that "oh, poor, repressed, crusading Republican!"

Talk radio is for people so insecure in their ideology they need constant reinforcement. Thats why its so much more popular with conservatives.

It's also quite amusing. "Obama hates our troops, because he wants to get them back from a war that few people really wanted, and get them out of harms way! What a dirty liberal!"

What's wrong with George Noorey? The only problem I have with George is that he lets some of the phone calls go on for too long.

Neal Boortz is a self-identified libertarian who has a few libertarian positions, but is also an ultranationalist and warmonger.
Alex Jones is a libertarian, IIRC, though also a nut.

Michael Savage. He's so crazy, it is impossible not to love him. In about fifteen minutes he can go from talking about his toy dog, to how all Arabs need to rounded up and shot, to his grandmother's meatball recipe, and end by talking about his dog again.
He's like your drunken, insane uncle trying out crack and PCP for the first time.
Although, I gotta respect Rush for the trolling and self-aggrandizing.

WTF? How is Howard Stern not #1 on this list? He has way more listeners then the next 2 or 3 on the list combined and has been tops in his markets albiet terrestrial radio or satellite for over 25 years. Hes paid $100,000,000 a year, There isnt any other radio entertainer that even comes close to that in salary for his services either.

Those all suck balls.
Rachel Maddow is the best. So good in fact that they put her on TV. But she's still on the radio, and I listen to her every morning before work. She has that rare mix of intelligence and being-on-the-radio that really speaks to me.

If that's a 'patriot', then 'patriot' must be another word for 'clueless dullard'.

I don't exactly see eye-to-eye with Rush Limbaugh, but you've got to admit he's the most successful political talk show host in the US. Since the poll question is, "Who is the best talk radio show host in the US?" I'm inclined to vote Limbaugh. I prefer the occasional glimmers of libertarianism from Glenn Beck, but in many ways he's just Rush with ADD.
Judging by what I've heard from Alex Jones, his political philosophy is probably closest to mine compared to the others on the list. He's way too quick to build conspiracy theories on what seems more like standard-issue human stupidity in gov't IMHO. There are plausible conspiracy theories, and then there's wild speculation. Alex mixes the two without any differentiation.
Coast to Coast AM is the best talk show out there if you like variety. Aliens and ghosts, conspiracy theories, and religion, and a dose of the news of the day. Great entertainment radio all around. Art Bell was an amazing host, and George Noory is quite good. I haven't heard Ian Punnett enough to form an opinion.
All things considered, Art Bell wins my vote because he still occasionally fills in on Coast to Coast. Honorable mention goes to Paul Harvey, who, while not a talk show host, was a familiar radio personality for as long as I can remember.
She has a Radio show? I watch her TV show, but I had no idea she was also on the radio...
Damn Conservative State, we only get Fox News Radio...
She got started on TV because her radio show (http://airamerica.com/maddow) is broadcast from the New York Air America studio. Because she was just down the road, and had a good show, Kieth Olberman started having her on his show and giving her guest spots. Then the viewers liked her so much MSNBC realized they'd be idiots not to give her her own show. Now Air America airs her in the mornings because she found it a bit harrying to finish her radio show and then rush over to her TV show.
