Give them a some what weird name. And make it something that your more bored/ nerdy readers can find something deeper with. Such as IBM to HAL.
So like a word play off of something that describes her main character restrict.

It would depend on the context; that'll reveal everything about its' intended purpose.

People shouldn't guess that sort of thing until after they have read the story. HAL to IBM might be easy, but something about a character should take much longer to guess. For people I imagine it would only be your avid reader saying wow she is greedy and the realizing her name is an anagram of that or some such.

But creative writing would be more than just coming up with a female name.
Also same I didn't enjoy doing creative writing at school either unless it would be some sort of visual assignment eg. oral presentation, acting something out, poster etc.

Henrietta is a good name. I think it is Italian, or something.
Tapiwa, Noelia, Jaryne, Amarachi, Amadi, Nadia and Uzoma are all uncommon female names I've encountered. I'm pretty sure most of them are of African origin (Noelia, Nadia and Jaryne are more European or something).

It's just she usually decides what I say..."

Some ideas: get Oregon Trail and use the random name list for your party to choose names.
Or go with the trend and make their first names out of Scottish last names like Mackenzie (I know someone who actually did that...)

For really unique names I like to go with taking English names and translating them to Irish Gaelic, works great for Fantasy stories...
like, for alot of Role Playing I use the name "Cathal Agtobar" which is a close Irish translation of my name...

Lol... no, I meant that I make the decisions... and she tells me what those decision are, as in, she ahs all the real power. It was a joke (but still pretty true).
If you want to write a good story, then write the entire thing all the way through, and then once you're done switch all the genders.
If you're like most writers, you'll discover that some of your characters were poorly-constructed, cliche, and only existed as props for other characters. You'll find yourself thinking that these characters seem very silly when they are given the male gender, yet they made perfect sense to you when they had the female gender.
Even self-identified feminists often are surprised by the results of this exercise. It is a very helpful one if you're interested in improving your ability to write compelling characters.

I used this when I was finding character names. The meaning helped me to define my character. Then the character wound up not being anything like their name.
writing a story and im terrible at names
Generally, when coming up with names for a story, it's often useful to find a name that possesses a meaning that describes a central characteristic of a character. For example, if your character, say, has a motivation revolving around never wanting to feel alone or unloved, you could find a name that means "alone" and give them that name.
It's certainly better than ascribing a random name, or worse, doing what I used to do and coming up with nonsense words, like the name for my nation.

If a character's gender is entirely irrelevant to what they do, they're probably not very well drawn or realistic.
Tropes are themes, which, when overused, become cliches. And everything that can be done has been overused.
A cliche is a saying that has lost its meaning. A trope cannot become a cliche, but a proverb, metaphor or piece of advice can.
Your misuse of the word is symptomatic of the word "cliche" having become self-descriptive, and, in doing so, it has lost its descriptive powers.
