Is this part of an effort to run off the Vegans from NSG? If so I am all for it.

We'll note that it's commentary with all the subtlety of a chainsaw.

I haven't seen any subtlety here yet. Am I supposed to be subtle?

I must invent a stealth chainsaw.

What about potted meat which is basically misery in paste form?

Or Vienna Sausages? A disturbing food that seemed so much more appetizing when I was seven and stupid.

I'd buy three.

Yes, I could put a stealth chainsaw to great use. *nod*

Has anyone noticed that Spam is the Official State Meat of Hawaii? Why is that?

Because it's a easier to ship than pigs. And less messy.

Thinking of how Tuna can be effective makes me giggle and I don't know why.

They get through 2 billion tons of it a year. Or maybe pounds. Or perhaps they spend $2 billion on it. Something to do with 2 billion anyway.

Which one?

You'll note that this is a comment on the other "meat" polls.

If it were, there would have been the "canned meat I make myself", "other canned meat" and "no canned meat" options.
Also, the poll would have been a multioption one.
Seesh.

Hunting animals on tropical islands leads to children dying and glasses being smashed. Have you not read Lord Of The Flies?

Canned meat is much safer.

Tuna. Cheap, effective meat.

Indeed.

I find that it's easier for me to justify eating fish out of a can than it is for meat. Spam makes me think of hotdog paste compressed in a can- not an appealing meal idea.

I'm going to go with Spam. What you do is, you get yourself a can of Spam, a can of Hormel chili(no beans), some Velveeta and a loaf of that long crusty bread. You cut the top off the bread and hollow it out. You cut the Spam and the Velveeta into chunks and put it in the bread, stopping periodically to dribble the chili in. Then you put the top back on, and stick it in the oven for about 10 minutes. Throw some jo-jos on the plate with it, and couple of beers, and that's a hell of a meal right there.

Hello, police? Galloism has a silencer for his chainsaw.

Yeah, a silencer.

Yes, for a chainsaw.

Fine. Don't say I didn't warn you when you get reports of an Elmo impersonator going Texas Chainsaw Massacre over NSG.

which one what? which one is most commonly consumed in my household? that would indeed be tuna, which also at this point seems to be in the lead. the only other to have been in recent weeks is corned beef. canned chicken, canned roast beef and canned clam meat i have also consumed, and least we forget, canned immitation crab meat, useful in salads and sashimi. all more recently then the infamous spam and its equivelants, and yes, i seem to recall comming accross one or more such at one time or another.

as a person who does their own cooking and loves and prefers to, naturally i prefer dead cow, dead other ungulate, and dead fowl, aw naturelle, for use in my cooking, then any of these canned and prepared products. although i do prefer boneless over boned, and would love to at least try cloned meatbeast. (a boneless, central nervous system less mass of nonsentinet ever growing meat cells, from which slices may be harmlessly carved to then use as an ingreedient in cooking, much as more conventional meat sources are. tayloring it to have a satisfactory texture with little or no conceivable means of exercising it is of course somewhat of a challange to its development)

Canned tuna helps make a delicious sandwich and since this is Lent and I am Catholic, I have had a few tuna sandwiches these past few weeks. Yum.

I'll go with spam, not because I like it but because it saved the allies in WWII, especially on the Eastern front where several million tons were airdropped for the Russian soldiers and civilians.
