Yes, the Dark Lord is preparing to make the private insurance policies of wounded US veterans reimburse the feds for the cost of treating their service-related injuries:

I didn’t think my contempt for the Dark Lord could be any greater than it is now, but this has done it. This despicable man wants to extort hundreds of millions of dollars from men and women who have put their lives on the line in the service of this country and suffered harm in the course of that service. He wants to impose a huge hardship on our veterans and their families, many of whom are already financially distressed, and for what?! To bring in another few hundred million dollars after he’s already wasted a trillion dollars and approved billions of dollars in pork?! Many of them can’t even get private insurance due to their injuries! And even if they have insurance, most or all of it will be used up on their war-related injuries, leaving nothing for their families!

Is there any excuse for a Commander-in-Chief of the United States to even consider such an outrageous betrayal of trust of our veterans?!

I couldn't get past the first sentence. You harm your point with your use of such ridiculous hyperbole.

Yes, God forbid you might actually say anything against the Dark Lord. Obviously this is just more HOPE AND CHANGE

Ridiculous. Fucking ridiculous.

This is just one more instance where, to quote Rush Limbaugh, "I hope he fails."

God willing, enough of the public will speak up against this evil plan that it will die an ignominious death in Congress.

Actually I am not saying anything of worth in this thread because I have no idea what this system is or how the health insurance system works in the states.

I actually have criticised Obama before actually.

Private insurance is separate for troops who need health care unrelated to their service. But Roberts noted that if a wounded warrior comes back and needs ongoing treatment, he or she could run up "to the max of the coverage in very short order," leaving his family with nothing
So the problem is what? That private insurance is fucking shit? That troop healthcare makes no damn sense?

The so-called pork you refer to is supposed to stimulate the economy, is it not? And I suppose he's got to find money to cover the expenses somewhere. Still, I wish he would get it from somewhere else, both for political and for ethical reasons.

Damn it, he should be giving everyone universal health care right now.

However, I object to wording such as "declares war on veterans" and "he wants to impose a huge hardship." I can accept, to a point, that you oppose Obama's policies, but can you at least accept that the man does not spend his time sitting in the Oval Office plotting ways to hurt the people for the heck of it?

Veterans groups are angry after President Obama told them Monday that he is still considering a proposal to have treatment for service-connected injuries charged to veterans' private insurance plans.

Considering, as opposed to implementing. As in it could change at the last minute if Obama decides it's a bad idea.

Yeah, it's a travesty how the veterans who sacrificed so much for the country are having the medical benefits they enjoyed under Dear Leader stripped away by Sauron... whoops-

i'm not sure i understand the issue. in so far as what they seem to be suggesting is bad, it is because it posits the continued existence of private insurers. otherwise, its just a way to take money away from those companies to pay for healthcare. the details need to be worked out, but it doesn't seem utterly insane to think about.

Closed. The OP is clearly an attempt at trolling. It seems our dear friend New Mitanni could use a cooldown period. 24 hours seems reasonable.
