The biggest game in the sports world, behind the World Cup final. Ronaldo, Torres, Gerrard, Giggs, Rooney, Alonso, hohohohohohoho!

Tips?

Confused "Wha?" from Americans is also acceptable.

Sad.
We know it's footie. We just don't care. About the same way you don't care for gridiron.

Don't overmuch care (soccer's okay, just not my thing) so I voted Draw. Figure I have at least a 50% chance of being right.

That's likely all the soccer fans in the US. And we all know about Manchester united because of the fame of soccer hooligans. about 1/3 of American Universities students spend a summer living with soccer hooligans as part of a culture exchange program with the UK.

Nope. I think it's a Champions League quarterfinals match, so a double match which can end only with the victory of one of the two (although, technically speaking, a victory at the shootouts is recorded as a draw).

Being an alcoholic is just a step away from becoming a soccer hooligan. It's too late... soon people will begin lobbying for mandatory soccer at school, and NHL will be substituted by Champions' League matches on TV. MUAHAHA!

any Americans who pick up a taste for it in the outside world lose interest when they come home and see the US team has no chance of winning a world cup ever.

Man Utd don't have soccer hooligans. They don't even have supporters from Manchester...

Not unlike Juventus. Almost no one in Turin supports Juventus (the Torinese generally support Torino), still Juventus is the team with most supporters in Italy, expecially in Lombardy and Sicily.

I'd be ok if we played well and lost but we were just terrible.

Not one of the United players had a good game and we were totally owned in the midfield.

Fair play to Rafa, he may be a spanish waiter with a questionable mental state but the scousers battered us today.

On the way back from a trip to town (Manchester) with my mates we ended up standing with a bunch of Man U fans on the station. Now, I'm no great fan of Man U fans, but these were fantastic; a 4-1 loss and they were still singing their arses of all the way. You could tell most of them were pissed up and most of the people I was with were a tad scared, but I loved it. It reminded me what football is about really; comradeship, enjoyment and bad chants. I even joined in quietly with a verse of one of their chants.

At one point they were chainting that rather dull chant "You Scouse Bastard! You scouse Bastard!" when a lady turned round and said: "I'm as annoyed as you are, mate, but theres kids on the bus and they don't deserve to have to listen to language like that." The Man U fans stopped for a moment and apologised before taking up the chant: "You Scouse idiot! You Scouse idiot!". I laughed.

So good to come home this morning ask about the game and se the look of disappointment on my roommates face.

I don't care if ManU have a game in hand I am going to put this out there. Liverpool can now come back and win the League.

The long awaited 19th title is so close we can smell it.

Key word there. They aren't, Liverpool just ran into some bad luck earlier in the season.

In your Liverpool slums
In your Liverpool slums
You look in the dustbin for something to eat
You find a dead rat and you think it's a treat
In your Liverpool slums

In your Liverpool slums
In your Liverpool slums
You shit on the carpet, you piss in the bath
You finger your grandma, and think it's a laugh
In your Liverpool slums

In your Liverpool slums
In your Liverpool slums
You speak in an accent exceedingly rare
You wear a pink tracksuit and have curly hair
In your Liverpool slums

In your Liverpool slums
In your Liverpool slums
Your mum's on the game and your dad's in the nick
You can't get a job 'cos you're too fucking thick
In your Liverpool slums

It is quite sad that Liverpool have been reduced to celebrating individual victories in the absence of any meaningful success. They simply are not as good a team; to be blunt, results prove as much. With far greater injuries throughout January and February, United won far more games than did Liverpool.

Actually, I'd suggest that Liverpool have a better team than United, in that their first choice starting XI is better than United's. The reason for United's greater success is their better squad, allowing them to cope with the large number of games required for success.

I'm not sure I'd agree with that, there are only two Liverpool first choices that would get into Uniteds first XI, Gerrard and Torres, the rest would be squad players.

I think yesterday United looked very tired and out of ideas, surprising considering the number of match winners we have available. I'm not going to play the one extra day of rest card because that shouldn't matter to top sides, I just think the match mattered so much more to Liverpool and that showed on the field.

Yeah that's right 4-1, we smacked your sorry asses all over the field and you guys just can't handle it.

Just goes to show how chav those from Man Utd actually are. Need I remind you what town is the cultural capital of Europe?

Come back to me when you win 19 titles. As for more injuries maybe if you guys didn't just spend money buying up good players and then making them sit on the bench or play in the reserve squad you might be able to say something, it has nothing to do with far greater injuries and simply because you have a larger squad.
