San Fransisco Flash Mob (http://www.pcworld.com/businesscenter/article/161126/san_francisco_targets_flash_mobs_after_expensive_mess.html)
After a six-hour Internet-organized pillow fight attracted more than people to San Francisco's Justin Herman Plaza, city officials are considering a crackdown on "flash mobs." (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flash_mob)
(EDIT) London Flash Mob (http://www.cnn.com/2009/WORLD/europe/02/09/uk.station.flashmob/index.html)
LONDON, England (CNN) -- Thousands of dancers jammed a major London train station in a Facebook-driven "flashmob" mimicking an advertisement for a phone company.
And the event last Friday evening was so successful that another is planned for next Friday in Trafalgar Square in central London. Plus, a group has been set up to organize another one at Liverpool Street Station a week later.
World Pillow Fight Day (http://www.pillowfightday.com/index.php)
This is the first time I ever heard of a flash mob, despite that it had its origins in Manhattan (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flash_mob#The_first_flash_mob) (according to wiki). Has anyone ever participated in a flash mob? Does anyone think that flash mobs can be "cracked down on", despite the fact that can be arranged over social networking sites? And what will flash mobs transform into?
