Musicians

I need musicians. I/les collaborateurs NEED THEM for a web project.

Your only projected reward is the ephemeral and likely unachievable mantle of fame, which we will promise you but never deliver. If you're a fairly competent soprano, alto, tenor, drummer or kettledrummer, or any combination of the above, and you like the sound of that, poats here - we need all of them.

By the way, I'm fairly sure this doesn't run foul of the OSRS. I could, of course, be mistaken, and in advance of that probability I'm prostrating myself before the mods and apologising profusely. :)

Why no basses?

*cries when realising low rumblings are unappreciated*

You could always inhale some helium like the soprano in David Bedford's Song of the White Horse.

I could always retrain as a countertenor, but I enjoy being the lowest voice around, even amongst other basses.

Well, I'm a bass, but more are always appreciated.

A rhythm guitarist would be nice too.

i drum, but only for a couple of years, and i'm no good. if you get desperate and it only takes 5 minutes, i could be up for whatever it is. maybe.

wow, that's a commitment and a half :P

I play drums, but I live in the U.S. and my computer is shit.

I play guitar, a little piano and pretty much any kind of tube with holes in it (woodwinds). What do you need?

Damn...well, if you don't need black metal-style shrieking vocals I'm no use in a band. I'm alright at playing the triangle, maybe I could study the noble art of cowbell?

I'm definitely competent, but I don't really see how I could be of much use from the other side of the ocean.

There's always that thing they call the Internet. I wonder what would happen if all of the musicians here collaborated on a piece of music. Kinda like those "write a story" threads, only someone would start us off with a basic melody or rhythm track rather than text, and everyone could record their contribution over it, and layer the tracks using something like Audacity. That could be worth some laffs, and might even produce something fun.

Bumpity.

Lando, that's what we're thinking of doing, except more structured in that we have prewritten music.

Poli: Which instrument / discipline are you competent at?

DI: We might end up needing a cowbell one of these days. :P

Lando again: Hmm. Like I've said, clarinetist and flautist, so if you're interested ...

Soyut: Do you have recording facilities of some sort?

PM: You COULD do something really awesome and send it over as an MP3, just as a sample of what you can actually do.

i'll give it a shot, but i'm away for a couple of days as of tomorrow (and right now its 1am and playing drums now would not be popular :D)
