Where do you normally buy your gas?

Good question, where do you buy your gas? A big chain or a small local station?
Myself, I try to keep it to BP as much as possible, I actually get better MPG from them, and I always stick with fuel that is ethanol Free ( easy to find in PA, I'm not putting that shit in my car ). It always seems to be a few cents more, but thats fine.

Whoever has the cheapest gas closest too me when I run out.
I used to stay away from Beacon, I think it is, because it fouled my motorcycle. I thought it was busted, but when I put different gas in it it ran fine. I hadn't made the connection, filled up at Beacon again, and the motorcycle started missing again. I also tend not to go to Shell because of some passing comment about how techron isn't kind to old VWs, but I don't know that it's true.
I favor Valero because of some green rating I read a long time ago, but I have to admit that's like going to a certain pimp because he only sometimes smacks a ho.
Really, it's mostly the convenient gas station.

I'm always stunned at how far people will go out of their way to save a few pennies on gas. They'll go an extra ten miles to save $.03 a gallon. In a 15 gallon tank, that's $.45. Well guess what? They just spent more than they saved. :p
I know where all the inexpensive places are... where I typically travel. I won't go out of my way to save $.03, but if I have enough gas to hold out until I pass the place that's $.03 cheaper, I will. That said, I usually fill up at BJ's Wholesale club when I go there, which is about once every 2 weeks.

Which ever place is closest depending on which way I'm going? That makes sense, right? I mean, there are only two in between home (the one not at college) and the interstate, so it'd have to be one of the two. One of them is Hess, the other one is new and I forget what it is.

I don't price shop to much unless the station I am looking at is way above the area norm. Where I am the typical price can vary by .20 -.30 at times.

Whatever place doesn't have ethanol in their gas. In my area it's just the sunoco, so that's where I go. I don't care much for price. Hell, I was paying 4 dollars for regular, so now I gladly pay $2.30ish for premium.

Definitely not our local petrol station. Strange numebr of people who pay by card there find out a short while later its been cloned and a large amount of money removed from the account. Correlation does not imply causation, but similarly, no smoke without fire (especially when there's petrol around)

Wherever it's the cheapest not far from my route, and I also make some reserve when it's cheap.

i dont know how it is where you live but here diesel has finally adjusted to be about the same price as gasoline. it was $1/gallon more for a while.
anyway, i go tothe local valero station because its cheapest (even though all the stations in town are within a few cents of each other)

Either the Wiki-Wiki* Gas Station out here in the country about two miles away, or the Tesoro Station in town about 15 miles away, depending on where I am at the time I need the gas.

the only "gas" i "normally" (or abnormally for that matter) "buy" is propane for home heating. that's piped in by pacific graft and extortion.
and yes that includes and means that no, i do NOT normally or otherwise consume petroleum based, or any other, motor fuels of any kind.
the closest i come to doing so would be whatever little my bus fare contributes to fueling the public transit buses i ride on when i do.

why do you assume that i hate anything? not to mention; what the hell does refusing to worship the automobile have to do with hating a geophysical location?
i certainly don't love its imposition of economic prejudice, both on the rest of the world and its own populas, but that still has noting to do with the rocks and trees and little furry creatures that constitute the place.
nor the pretence that raising hell and making a pain in the ass of one's self eguals freedom, while not allowing people to live as at least some of us believe in.
nor, especially the big lie, that everything that isn't makiavellianism somehow has to be procustianism or worse.
but i LOVE the rocks and the trees and the magical little tucked away sprit places.

Good question, where do you buy your gas? A big chain or a small local station?
I pay for the gas (methane) via a direct bill on my bank account; I receive it through a gas pipe installed in my home.
As for car fuel, or petrol, any station will do, except Total: last time I refueled by them, their petrol was so dirty that it clogged the carburetor and I had to run about 1000 km before it cleaned itself (I was in France on vacation and didn't want to lose time looking for a specialist in 18-years-old carburetors!).
A semi-local chain that has hideous pink gas stations, but it is cheap and I get a few more yen knocked off for my gas card so...
Assuming I'm traveling by car... whichever the service area has. When you're on Japan's expressways, you're more or less a captive audience. Enros (Good ol' J-ASS) if I'm somewhere in a town while traveling.
Edit: As for house gas... the guys come by with their truck to hook up the tanks every so often. This winter I was off the kerosene, which was very nice. No pumping. :p

ARCO, Valero, 3 local gas stations. Never Exxon, Shell or Mobil, they're so expensive! ARCO/am pm has been losing my business lately because they installed these obnoxious, loud tv screens at the pump, so you're forced to listen to advertisement while filling up. Seriously makes me psychotic...

Shortened from the product name "Gasoline", which was initially marketed as a cleaning solution to remove grease stains from cloth, which is closely related to the names of other petroleum distillates of the day, such as "Vaseline".

In the St. Louis area, Quiktrip is a popular gas station chain, that's what I usually get gas from, I haven't had any problems with their gas, and they are almost eveywhere around here. Ocassionaly, I'll go to a Mobil station in a neighboring town, sometimes they are slightly cheaper.
