The God-Politician Tripartite pact thread gave me an idea...

If all the various deities of Humanity had to fight eachother, who would become the one True Deity in which all others Derive their abilities and followers?

The big monotheistic Gods would win wouldn't they, by virtue of omnipotence? Of course, then we'd have a draw between the remaining ones.

I vote for Thor. Not many gods are as kickass as he is.

All the gods from a polytheistic religion have a big bonus: they already have experience in dealing with other beings of equal or greater power. Especially if they come from a backstabbing competative Pantheon.

Hmmmm. According to Age of Empired: Mythologies for the DS, the Egyptians apparently had a crocodile-headed God that had an amry of laser-shooting crocs. That's right. Not only were they crocodiles, they also shot lasers! Which would probably make him shoot lasers too! Lasers would probably take out a good portian of the other deities.

And the Abrahamic God is supposed to be powerful enough to have created the whole universe in an undetermined period of time. I doubt the original version in the original language said 144 hours+24 hours of rest. And he's all-seeing. If this is accurate, he would have created the other deities barehanded. This would be an advantage because he created them. He could destroy them!

If the various deities would team up, I say put Abrahamic God in with the Egyptain god. They would probably make an army of laser-shooting anubites.....with jetpacks! And laptop guns! And golden guns and farsights too! Got to love cheap one-hit kill revolvers and sniper rifles that grant x-ray vision and can shoot through walls!

Don't be silly. Since Yaweh is all powerful, He can grant all the cheat weapons because He can unlock everything. Golden PP7s for all! One-hit kills plus semi-auto!

Ares is a wimp. In every fight between him and Athena, Athena wins. Even Aphrodite and some mortal manage to beat him in one part of the Iliad.

Yes. If we're going to go for one of the Greco-Roman gods, Athena or Eris would head the list.

But does he have an army of laser-shooting crocodiles? After all, what's the point of having a moat around your hq if the crocodiles you put in said moat can't shoot lasers? It's like having sharks that don't shoot lasers.

Norse fan, I see. Those vikings were only a few lasers away from pure awesomeness. Too bad they didn't have the flamethrower-equipped monkeys they needed to make up for the lack of said lasers.
