So it's a recession, which means businesses need people to gain confidence in order to buy stuff again. That means more businesses are offering deals, which is good for me and you! This thread is to list those deals for things you bought and others may be interested in. So what deal did I just get?

Little Big Planet for £12.99. Thank you Play.com!

So what deals do you have to share?

I beat up and shot an old woman, but she had less money on her than usual. Does that count?

$18.25 for a game is a deal? Eh, maybe, not sure what PS3 games are going for. I've not done a lot of non-essential shopping of late, rarely do.

Yeah we come from a land where new PC games cost about $55 and new console titles cost upwards of 80.

My mum bought herself a brand new car a couple of weeks back. They took her old one, which was 7 or 8 years old, as 1/3 deposit on it. She doesn't have to pay the other thirds (which are interest free) until 2010 and 2011 respectively. Came with a 3 year warranty and AA roadside assistance.
I think that's a pretty decent deal.

Oh grief, that's one of 'em horribly tacky shops on the Royal Mile, isn't it?

Jeeeeeeeesus, Edinburgh's a shitehole.

Haha, you'll get no argument from me about that. Thing is when you are stuck staying on Princes Street, the only logical thing to do is start at the crappy tourist bars at the top of the Royal Mile, and crawl your way down to the bottom. I was totally fucked at the bottom though.

Still, could be worse. We could have been stuck in Peebles.

I thought I remembered them for being 10p once, but I'm confusing that with a Chomp... Both are quite good though.

Chomp < Freddo

am I the only one who dreamed of spending all the money they earn working on cheap chocolate when they was younger?

Chomp < Freddo

am I the only one who dreamed of spending all the money they earn working on cheap chocolate when they was younger?

I said something stupid reguarding something similiar once;

'when I'm 16 I'm going to invade the chomp factory.'

Of course this plan, as un-thought-out as it was, never came to fruition.

I was a bit of a fat-ass as a kid... not so much now.

Also, caramelized Freddos > Freddo.
