Clash of the pygmies -Dr. Phil vs. Octo-mom

I think Dr. Phil is a complete phony, but he's pretty close to right, here. The only problem is with her response - glib and phony, she's saying what he wants to hear, not what she really believes.

she hasnt been dealing with reality for a long time. i dont know why she hasnt had an open file at child services for the first 6.
what do you suppose the hospital will require of her before they release the new babies?

Let's get one thing straight. She's "Octo-uterus", not Octo-mom. A woman worthy of the reality of the title "mom" wouldn't have had eight more cabbages in the first place. This loon is addicted to pumping out units, not mothering them.

I was trying not to flame her, I was originally going to put octo-stupid, octo-weird, octo-crazy, octo-vegetable - any one of those.

Well, 14 children in a 3 bedroom house is a "no", also her house is disgustingly dirty, food on the walls and such. She doesn't have cribs for them, room for them, car seats for them or a game plan on how to take care of them.
Preemies need a clean house at the very least, they can catch some nasty things in subpar conditions and they don't recover well.

they also need tons of care. she'll have to have a core group of ......6?....other adults who will committ to round the clock help.
what do they do these days when a person has more kids than welfare will pay for? will she have to show a steady influx of donations?

A friend of mine had quad preemies they didn't really care "how" she paid for them as long as they left in car seats and were going to a place where they had their own beds.....
She thought it was stupid because they could all fit in one bed, but we bought her a crib for one of them (and more friends bought them for the other babies).
Of course she has a job.

Just a couple in a series of questions that never seemed to materialize in the minds of either the Octo-uterus or her fertility "therapists". Whither common sense?

which may be how it would be handled if it werent a hugely public situation. if they let her take a baby home and it dies from ..... well any of a dozen things that can easily go wrong the hospital will be receiving some harsh criticism.

once a person is so delusional that they dont think that ONE extra child is too many when they have 6 that they cant support and take care of, there isnt much to stop her from having 8 more (on top of this 14) other than money and being too controversial for any doctor to deal with.

Agreed, but what doctor, seeing that there was no way in hell they were going to get paid, would assent to the appeasement of this mad-woman's desire to mass-produce infants?

She wanted to make herself "bigger?" I guess that having eight kids would help with that, but could she have just eaten a few dozen packages of Oreos and a jar of peanut butter instead?

Well, the pictures I've seen suggest she's had plastic surgery, too. What kind of numbskull doctors are giving away medical procedures like this?

i assume 2 things
1) he got paid upfront
2) she told him that she wanted all her frozen embryos implanted but that she would reduce to a manageable number if more than 2 or 3 implanted.

Fair assumptions, I suppose, but how? She's unemployed and living with her parents. Where...aw, skip it. The whole mess just hurts my head.

Everyone needs a hobby. Mine is performing unnecessary and unethical medical procedures upon the less intelligent members of society.
Say, are you sure you want that appendix in there, being gross and waiting to develop an infection? I could cut you open and yank it out for five bucks. Four bucks? A dollar fifty, and that is my lowest offer!

supposedly she had disability money that she wasnt using to support herself or her kids. it doesnt seem possible that thats true but it may be.

Interesting I ran into a woman with a profile like this on Alt.com, at the time I thought it was a little strange. A person wanting to experience childbirth but not caring to take care of the spawn. Guess there are a few of them out there.

An elegant solution -- surrogates get PAID, too.

Dumbass indeed! THIS uterus is 49 years old, for fuck's sake.
What the hell is wrong with adoption...and these people?
Octo-Mom, Dr. Phil, and the fertility Dr. are all nutjobs.

Ugh, agreed. I was just depressed by the footage of her mom's house. 14 children plus 2 adults in a three bedroom house--it's just cribs and piles of clothes and trash all over. Apparently all that disability money she hoarded could buy her some expensive IVF procedures, but not furniture or, you know, a vacuum.

In an unaired scene. Dr Phil said something offensive to the Octomom and she responded by launching a baby at him. *nod*
I think she was just playing him. Just going along with whatever he said to turn around public opinion. I still think I as a taxpayer shouldn't have to pay for her brood. It is a little harsh but when you start taking advantage of my hand up...then you don't deserve the hand out.

I think Dr. Phil would win, Octo-Mom may have an almost unlimited supply of projectile fetuses but he's just got that tough guy vibe rolling off of him, and I think he's from Texas.

If people just stopped paying attention to her, the effect would be the same.
You wouldnt hear about her anymore.
Of course, that would require the press to stop, and well, they wont.

The only time I pay real attention to the Press is when I'm browsing NS General. SO I'll stop talking about her as soon as everyone else does.. and beside I'm just having fun making bad jokes.
