I realize I'm a few days late, this news broke on Wednesday, but I just saw it now and I absolutely had to talk about it:

So, it seems ol' Max has finally become fed up with OMAC and taken the plunge back into self-determination and independence. I fondly remember those old days back when I first joined on our own independent servers (I remember being a "Senator" instead of whatever random forum title I have now) and I must admit to a bit of nostalgia at the thought of returning to those glorious days, but I also wonder what this truly means for us and our wonderful game.

Where is this heading? Will our forums leave the Jolt servers? Do we get back our political titles? Will we finally be rid of those @#$&ing ads that are now actually inside our posts? 'Cause, seriously, I can put up with a lot for this game, which I love more than my own children, but it's just getting &$#@ing ridiculous. Honestly, banner ads are one thing, but when you've got ads actually inside our post I think you've crossed some sort of line.

What do you think?

P.S. See what I mean about these ads? Look to the right, isn't it just glaring?

Oh, this is nothing, I remember this one time, it must have been back in '04 or '05, I started a thread about the frequent under-representation of non-Jewish Holocaust victims (The millions of Slavic, handicapped, gay, etc. victims of the Third Reich rarely receive the same level of media exposure and focus as the Jewish victims) and I wound up (somehow) gleefully taking credit for a combined Polish-Lithuanian-Czech plot to eliminate all evidence of the Holocaust and finish the extermination under the auspices of the new Solution.

Don't ask me how the hell we got to that, I can't even remember, but it was fun...well, I suppose it depends on your definition of "fun," but it was certainly memorable.

Hopefully it wont go back to: "you are free to post... BUT only during the hours of 11pm to 1am! Mwahahahahahaha". I like that the servers seem to be working properly atm, don't want that to change.

;14551293']Jolt gives us a free forum, but it has a few integration problems with the game, quite intrusive ads, and a few other little niggles. I'm looking at hosting our own NS forum independently again, but this will take time.
Well, we know that [violet]/Max? will likely go back to the old forums, but he/she said it would take time. Unless... Jolt/OMAC kicks NS1 off their forums.

Also what's this about NS2, is Max just going to stop giving a shit about it? Seems pretty soon.

No-one gives a shit about NS2 anyway.

I still think that NS2 has potential, the problem with that is that everything has "potential," most things never bother to work up to it.

I think that if the developers would work on getting it working right for now, actually getting it to "tick" properly for instance, instead of constantly adding not-working features to a still not-working game it would be all the better. As it is, they're adding half-working features to a half-working game, and everybody just seems to be getting fed up. I don't care how good War is (If it ever does become "that good") if I can't even get my nation to vote on an issue more than once a week
