Palin puts another coin in the 15 Mins of Fame Machine

Being late to work today, I caught a section on John "Chattering Neocon Monkey" Ziegler's movie on Palin where she, again, rants and raves through her usual delusion of grandeur about an effort by the "liberal media" to "seek and destroy" her "campaign." I hate to use that many quoted phrases in a row but it is just so god damned retarded.

Ziegler, being your standard conservative jackass, was on the Today show trying to shout down Matt Laurer - in his own interview. I guess that in conservative land, whoever yells the loudest wins the fact-making contest. Apparently Ziegler is a high level conservative pundit if conservative pundits are ranked by how big of a jackass they are, which I don't doubt. But back to the point, the "documentary" is called "Media Malpractice," obviously the up and coming buzzword replacement for "liberal media," which documents the coordinated effort by every journalistic outfit to assassinate Palin's credibility and thus tank her candidacy.

Notice how I keep saying Palin's candidacy and not John McCain's. That's because Palin and all the conservative pundits suffer from the delusion that Palin was running for the presidency and not John McCain. Proof? Ziegler shouting at John Laurer about not treating Palin the same as Obama and asking her the same questions. Never mind the fact that she couldn't answer even the most softball questions. Then when Matt Laurer tried to point out that they made fun of Joe Biden for being a dumbass all the time, apparently that was world's apart from making fun of Palin for being a dumbass. Joe Biden is a known dumbass, Palin just started making an ass of herself. But it's unfair, because it was her candidacy - for vice president.

But sadly, not only is Palin a moron, but she literally suffers from delusions of grandeur and persecution. Seriously.

Palin said she believes the media made a decision that “we’re going to seek and we’re going to destroy this candidacy of Sarah Palin’s because of what it is that she represents."
The candidacy of Sarah Palin. For Vice President. The least important job in the federal government.

And for bonus points of delusion
Palin suggested that unbalanced media coverage posed a threat to democracy.

“This is for the sake of our democracy that there is fairness in this other branch of government, if you will, called the media,” she said. “It is foreign to me the way some in the mainstream media are thinking.”

Palin's position on the Fairness Doctrine?
"It's this Fairness Doctrine, it's these attempts [...] in Congress to shut down voices that are asking the tough questions." (http://caffeinatedthoughts.com/?p=2136)
She then names every big name conservative pundit.

Liberal media. Hah, what a fucking farce. When was the last time you saw Al Franken get interviewed solo on the Today show about his opinions on something? Or any other liberal commentator? Never. Sure, they occasionally get a hardcore pundit on a two way with a soft-spoken liberal columnist and let the conservative shout down anyone that moves. If it moves again, they shout louder. But even then, it's the liberal media trying to silence the conservative movement which is asking "the tough questions."

Yes, the media sought to destroy Sarah Palin by insidiously doing things like...asking questions.

If only all this liberal media bullshit were true. Then we wouldn't have to hear about this political has-been.

How dare they see if shes competent to be a heart beat away from the most powerful position in the western world?

She was totally unprepared for the media slaughter. They never covered that in community college. ;)

Im just waiting for the regular defenders of the Church of Palin to show up and begining crying about the media coverage and pretend like Obama being on more magazine covers then Palin is somehow proof.

Hey! Questions are a work of the devil! Clearly that the priest that tried to protect Palin from witches was not strong enough. Everyone knows liberals are witches!

Her running mate lost. That's why she's not in the spotlight as the media's darling.

Really, is she incapable of understanding this? If Obama lost, Biden would not be in the spotlight either.....

Is there an Unfame Machine I can trick Palin into putting money in? Possibily with a poorly written e-mail to her hacked account purporting to be from a deposed Nigerian Unfame Machine manufacturing CEO needing someone to put a coin into the Unfame Machine so it will become full, allowing for it to be emptied of the monies of which 10% will go to her.

I also liked where they disagreed that she said the Iraq mission was a holy war, then it cut to a video clip of her saying the mission was from God, which they said was taken out of context. How much more fucking context do you need to decide if "soldiers being sent by god" does or does not equal "holy war?"

that interview bugged me

the media treated sarah palin differently. YES THEY DID. they had to ask her softball questions in some vague hope that she could make a reasonable answer. she couldnt.

he didnt seem to have any recognition that there is a big difference between candidates that are well known to the public because they have been in the national spotlight for years and have been campaigning for years and a candidate who is suddenly thrust into the national eye with no one knowing anything about her. to deny that reality is to brand you a moron or a liar.

Yet most pundits make enough money on their listeners to make it a career. Which tells you what the average mental capability of most people are like.

there is a certain segment of punditry that just doesnt care that they are saying things that they know are ridiculously stupid

today i listened to .... 5 minutes...of sean hannity on the radio when he was trying to make the case that the decline of the stock market is a reaction to the election of barack obama as president. ....back in may just before obama clinched the nomination the stock market was over 13000....

he knows its stupid but he says it anyway.

How do you know he knows it's stupid? It doesn't take knowledge that you're peddling crap to peddle it after all. There's about as much chance that Sean Hannity does believe what he's saying, much like any number of ideologues from before.

i do consider hannity to be significantly stupid. he is a tool at best.

but no one who has been paying any attention--and i know that hannity has been play some attention--has missed the whole bank meltdown/toxic assets/forclosure/unemployment problem that has had a terrible effect on the stock market

I don't know. I'm sure he'll find a way to tie it to Obama somehow, if by party affiliation if nothing else.

Oh? Where?

As an aside, maybe if Sarah Palin realized all the bad publicity was in fact evil witchcraft and her African pastor redoubled his efforts she'll win in 2012.

For some of us Sarah Palin is still a public figure. I am hoping she doesn't get reelected. She pretty much tanked all the bipartisan support she had in the state. With the that and the budget shortfall she may have a hard time showing that she can lead. It is easy to be a leader when times are good, much harder when things go south.

Palin managed to be both a moron AND a liar, so we should give her some credit for achieving that.
