Stephen Fowler - Douchebag?

There's a TV show on ABC called Wife Swap, where couples trade off spouses for a bit, and the couples are deliberately chosen to make the most of their differences - with the promise of ensuring fireworks.

For a brief description of the Stephen Fowler phenomenon (a British enviromentalist asshole who ended up ruining his career with his on screen behavior), see http://www.blogs.com/2009/02/13/everybody-hates-stephen-fowler.html

of course, based on his attitudes and beliefs expressed on the show, I find it hard not to believe that he's always been one of the liberal members of NSG...

So, youre just trolling.

Nope. Are you?

Google Stephen Fowler, and tell me what most people apparently think of him, and the political leanings he espouses.

I'd consider that show, but I'm afraid I'd get Shirley Phelps-Roeper as my wife.

I wouldn't fuck her with Pat Robertson's dick. :p

It wouldn't be controversial enough. People would actually laugh and have a good time watching, rather than getting all steamed.

I'm sure Fred would have his hands full with my wife. She's armed, you know. ;)

People who get on reality TV shows are encouraged to act like complete pricks, it provides 'drama' and gets people to watch. The fact that an enviromental lobbyist in San Francisco might have a dim view of rural Missourians is not really wholly unexpected, either.

of course, based on his attitudes and beliefs expressed on the show, I find it hard not to believe that he's always been one of the liberal members of NSG...

I think this was maybe unnecessary, in itself.

He sounds a bit like Jeremy Clarkson, minus everything good about him.

Yes, because people never edit those things to make the shows more interesting.
