And it's not the heat, although this place is friggin' hot and if I'm not in a room with an AC on I feel like I'm dying. This is about those things that our significant other or personal interest subject causes on us. I am, NSG, right now, hot and bothered. And the personal interest subject is not even here. But I'm remembering his voice, the vibratto of it, the way it sharpens and softens as he emphasises on what he wants to tell me. The perticular cadence of that voice. Damn it! The nuances of it make me hot and bothered.

Before this turns into a blog, my question to you, Generalites is, what things on your significant other or personal interest subject put you on the same spot I am right now? What does your partnes does that gets you, yes, hot and bothered?

I don't know about hot and bothered but there's something entirely erotic about watching girlfriends get dressed in the morning, it's little things, putting on make-up, shifting a skirt, clipping a bra, the slight lean forward as they look into the mirror to lightly brush on mascara, all these minor details they go through before facing the day.

I love lying in bed watching the process, I get ready within 15 minutes from bed to shower to walking out the door so I'm generally second out of bed, I like it even better when they're slightly conscious that I'm lazily, half-sleepingly, adoringly watching them.

The curve of the shoulder, the arching of the neck as she places a necklace, or how she tilts her head sleepily in front of the mirror, the flick of a stray hair, those things. They add, maybe not immediately, to the desire.

For a little while, though, it can be a fun social thread, not one of the OMFGCHRISTIANITYYAY! threads. What's really awful is people posting the saaaame threads over and over and over and over, and they all go the same way: flame wars and harsh words. Rarely you'll have a stretch of good discussion, but it always gets buried in the same bile of arguments that everyone has raised before. That's what is really to be loathed, when "anything" means "the same thing all over again."

Basically, I try to ignore the ppl on NSG that does this. And for clarity, the forum is labeled [General: For discussion and debate about anything. This is definitely a discussion about a random topic, so it is allowed.


For me, what got me was the little blush she'd get when she caught me looking at her, the clumsy trip when she was trying to be graceful...the quiet look when she was concentrating on drawing (she was an artist), the smile that always creeped up on her face...the way her eyes caught mine after a kiss...

I'm spending some quality time with myself (although my family keeps preventing me from actually realizing this) in Puerto Rico. In other words, I'm swimming in the sweltering heat of the Caribbean. Because I'm not used to this heat, I feel hot and a bit sick.

Yeah, that. He'd always apologize for having been so "inattentive" and "sorta mumbling" when he'd call a few hours later once he'd "properly" woken up, but I just loved those calls, and very unselfishly offered to provide wake-up calls on a regular basis.

I don't hang out on NSG because I somehow can't do anything else; I hang out on NSG because I find it entertaining, I quite like some of the company, and back when my job consisted largely of sitting at a desk twiddling my thumbs, it was something to do at work.

I have no doubt some people here lie about themselves - heck, I've seen at least a few different people claim to be lawyers or doctors or other experts and then get called out when they declare, from their vast medical expertise, that women give birth through their assholes (anyone else remember that one? fucking hilarious), but it gets stupid to have the assumption that everyone here MUST be putting on an act to impress anonymous internet denizens.

What bothered me the most is that he (Kimchi) just read the title, he didn't bother about reading the OP. And I hate when people go on calling you something when they don't know you. Like you I've had the opportunity of interacting with several NSGrs outside of the forum, and they're an amazing bunch. I don't think that the posters here are people socialy-challenged or liars, although I'm sure there are some here who meet the criteria. I've seen extremely intelligent people. Anyway, the people who show up to RL meetings are only those who feel sufficiently confident in their social abilities to be able to attend such a meeting; they consider the internet just another way to talk to people, not the only way. Those who lack the self-confidence or social skills, or those who were lying the whole time, make up a majority of internet users and thus never show up to the meetings. It's sort of self-perpetuating.

Or maybe it's just me, and everyone else who uses the internet is a well-adjusted, intelligent individual with a normal personal life and lots of friends. Either way, meh.
