I do usually go out for breakfast on Tuesday mornings, maybe I'll go to the IHOP this time. I generally aviod, because I can get better food elsewhere, but it's not that bad, and it's for a good cause.
Oh, and I think this was the picture you were looking for...

A terrible movie. Consider yourself lucky that you have no context in which to evaluate that particular scene.
I like pancakes, but I prefer to make them at home. I fry them in bacon grease, and top them with almonds and whipped creme. mmm...

My sentiment exactly, European pancakes/crêpes are far, far tastier that those dough disks they refer to as pancakes in the USA.

I have a theory about American-style pancakes (as opposed to UK-style pancakes/crepes).
They're actually descended from Scottish drop scones.
Here's some drop scones for comparison:

I agree with Fass (:eek2:). Although not on the nutella part. I prefer Extreme Ironing's interpretation of that.
It's been ages since I last made pancakes. Or crêpes. Or whatever you call 'em. I suppose my tolerance for fried dough of any kind is rather low. It's probably the smell (although jelly doughnuts especially can make me gag just by being in the same room).

Bacon = savoury meat item. Sugar = flavouring/ingredient for sweet items.

I've never understood Nutella, myself. Then again, some people don't understand the true power of Marmite, but they're just ignorant fools.

Bacon in pancakes O_o
Fixed. ,)
Cut bacon into squarish pieces and put them in the frying pan or waffle iron.
Then pour the batter on top, and continue as normal.
Don't forget the sugar though. ,)

Sweet things mix very well with almost anything. Caramel popcorn, for instance, mixes sweet and salty taste groups, and is addictive. Almost any citrus fruit mixes sweet and sour, and everyone loves citrus. Dark chocolate mixes sweet and bitter, and is, well, chocolate.
Nonetheless, sugar is not quite yet the ultimate accessory that is dried chili pepper. It doesn't go very well on steak, for instance.

I was saving that for breakfast, dammit. And keeping it warm? Pancakes, like revenge, cheese, and rice pudding, are best served cold. A true connoisseur would know that. >.<

There's a NSG pancake? Suitable to feed the entire forum? It must be quite large. As in, sufficiently large that you'd need a spatula the size of a bus to flip it in the air, and if you missed, you could knock down an apartment building.
I'd like to see that, actually.

Until this. It was a savoury dish before the sugar. What's wrong with a red wine sauce and some vegetables to join the bacon?
And then actual sweet pancakes to have after, preferably lemon and sugar.
Well, you see, it tastes good. ,)
We'll see about that. *narrows eyes* :p

A terrible movie.
Lies.
Consider yourself lucky that you have no context in which to evaluate that particular scene.
But that's just it. The scene has no context within the movie. The director even admitted in the commentary that the kid they'd hired for this bit role could, they discovered, do awesome karate.
And that was the context of this scene.
It's a work of art, I say.

What's really good is the McGriddle, from McDonalds. Some mad genius took a pancake, minaturized it down to about the size of a CD and cooked it with maple syrup. He then put an egg on top of it, added some cheese and some bacon and/or sausage, and then topped it with another little pancake. You put one of these on the top of your head, and your tongue will beat your brains out trying to get to it.

In Detroit, for some reason we call it Paczki Day (which is pronounced "poonch-key", for reasons known only to the Polish), and eat a kind of oversized doughnut stuffed with lard and jelly, which nobody (not even the Poles) makes any other time of year.
