Productive day?

So NSG, have you had a productive day? Have you finally crossed something off of your evergrowing to do list? Or have been lazy and sta around doing nothing?

I crossed off something that had been bugging me for a while, that being restringing my guitar. I should have been doing more academic things but I still call this a productive day.

What about you NSG? Were you productive?*

I also restrang my guitar, nice extra hard tension nylons. Had an orgasm. Will work for 1/2 hour then go buy a slutty dress and some heels. Pretty freaking productive, I'd say :D

I'm in the process of being productive. I put new tread carpets on my stairs, I finally got the lights off the Xmas tree and put onto a reel and put them in the attic, and I am in the process of hauling said 6-6.5' tree, in sections, up into the attic by myself.

I should note I am five foot tall and the middle part of this tree had to weigh a good fifty pounds. The bottom should be a JOY to get up that narrow ladder.

Having been a scout, though, I was prepared. I bought nylon rope (test is over 200 lbs), gloves with rubberized palms, and have been putting the tree parts in bags before hauling them upstairs hand over hand.

Danke, Wii, for improved upper arm strength.

Yeah, yeah, I know it's February. I had to take it down alone; sue me.

2 questions, number one; why so late? And number 2; why are you taking it apart and then putting it in the attic?

Christmas isn't over until there aren't any needles left on it, Kat.

EDIT: Oh, it's artificial. Well, you could have just hrown some festive Easter junk up on it instead.

I am being a bit productive, in that I may complete this animation in time to qualify for the 150$ speed bonus.

So far, I have:
Written a research proposal for a 3rd Century battlefield for my classical archaeology class
Given a presentation on the same
Handed in a brief essay for a political science class

and, in a few hours, I'm looking at apartments and houses for the next academic year.

So yeah, fairly productive day.

I need to restring my guitars.

The major point of productivity for me today was finally playing Portal and then surprisingly beating it. Shorter game than I thought it'd be.

And it's only 2:30. Oh the possibilities.

Because I have my own place, and December-January is a bitch for teachers in NYC high schools. I literally did not have time to do more than get the ornaments off, boxed, and in the attic until this week.

It's an artificial, as you noted; my live wreath went out on January 6th before it became a fire hazard. (No brown needles when I tossed it, though.)

I closed on a loan to consolidate my existing student loans (and car loan). The new monthly payment will be $350 less than what I have been paying. This will allow me the financial flexibility to get my own apartment. It will also allow me the ability to purchase an engagement ring, though I haven't actually done that part yet. So yeah, it's been pretty productive.

Funny, as short as it was, I still thought I was getting near the end a bit before the part where you get lowered into the fire. Probably because I expected it to be really short, just a fun diversion.

i worked out how to use a new program to achieve what i needed it to do; i furthered my knowledge of 3d CAD; i prepared for an event we're running on Monday; i worked with collagues to finalise some research we're putting into a publication; i briefed another consultancy on some server problems we're having; also discussed stuff to manage other longer term projects. on a personal level i looked into my holiday plans for this year, but got scared by the cost :(

didn't really finish anything, but then i bloody never do... everything drags on forever

What about you NSG? Were you productive?

Yes I did. I just got publicily thanked by a citizens' committee for having contributed to remove a chemical plant whose poor operational standards and abusive practices caused, in the last 32 years, at least 500 cases of bladder cancer in local residents, and ruined the local farming. Now the plant will be transferred and built anew, with up-to-date safety and environmental standards.

The best part of it being that I'm the only one, amongst the five politicians thanked by the committee, who isn't a regional councillor, or a member of the municipality executive. I'm just a party functionary.

My self-esteem has quite risen, and Ford knows how much I needed that.

Nope. Not really. I got a lot of work to do, and I barely got started. Enjoyable day, but not productive.

After being up all night doing a variety of things to make money, I spent most of the day sleeping. Then I watched WWE Smackdown before getting some dinner. Now, I'm listening to Skynyrd as I buckle down to making more money.

Didn't do a bloody damned thing except fool around on NS, Lolcats and MySpace, feed the fish, the cats and the rat (they'd mutiny if I didn't), read, do some cross stitch, wathch BSG and eat. It's amazing how much time you can waste on nothing.

I spent the whole day idle and chatting with a good friend; when night came I ran 50 feet of Ethernet cable under the carpet to finish my new home network, replaced my old computer monitor, set about to recycling old computer junk, and cooked dinner. Thats sort of productive.

Spent the day playing Hearts of Iron 2: Doomsday and Halo 3. In HOI, when I switched from the US to Italy for a while the AI pretty much ruined the game. Gonna have to probably start over. In Halo, I got to the Ark while listening to my brother going on how he hates the Flood. Which annoyed me.

Have I been productive? Not for the past 4 or 5 days. I'll probably be very productive come next week, to my chagrin, if my beloved mother's designs work as she planned. It's not easy being my mom's daughter. It's never been easy.

My day has been fairly productive. I took my dog for a nice long walk at the arboretum this morning, cleaned my living room and have almost finished cleaning the dining room. I'm also almost done with revisions to an assignment that's due on Monday, and have gotten a pretty good start on my reading for the week.

I haven't been productive in what's felt like years, although that's partly because even when I do things I need to do I don't feel as though I've accomplished very much of anything.

Today I've done nothing but stuff that's on my routine (i.e. waking up, going outside, practicing, etc.) and going online. I might get some work done later this afternoon, if I can convince myself to do it.

Thus, I am currently being as lazy as possible...though at some point I will have to shovel the snow currently falling.

Actually, I'm a party member since 1998 (I'm one of the founders!). I've covered various directive offices since 2000, and I'm a paid functionary since 2006. :D

I like being paid, finally. I was beginning to get tired of doing the workhorse for nuffink (you realise this when it's 4 in the morning of Sunday, and you're driving back home on country roads for 80 km after spending your Saturday night at a political debate in a party section without heating, in a craphole of a village, because the presence of the Regional Youth Secretary was requested).

Last night (until 2:30 am, so I count it as today) I did my physics homework. I woke up at 12:47 PM, went grocery shopping, and did my laundry. I did a few calculus homework problems and plan on doing more after I take a shower. Somewhat productive, I guess.
