NEW YORK (CNN) -- The founder of an upstate New York TV station aimed at countering Muslim stereotypes has been arrested on suspicion of killing his wife, who was beheaded, authorities said.

Muzzammil Hassan was charged with second-degree murder after police found the decapitated body of his wife, Aasiya Hassan, at the Bridges TV station in the Buffalo suburb of Orchard Park, said Andrew Benz, Orchard Park's police chief.

Hassan was arrested Thursday.

His wife filed for divorce February 6, and police had responded to several domestic violence calls at the couple's home, Benz said.

I see what you're getting at - but really, he only posted a hypothetical verbalisation (is that a word?) of what someone must be thinking to participate in a violent protest about being called violent. To be honest, I didn't read his earlier posts - I wasn't trying to defend his overall stance; I just felt like trying to keep to logical debating methods and you seemed to have posted a strawman.

Islam isn't a peaceful religion anymore than it is a violent one. It's the people who twist it into a vehicle for their agenda, whether to cause harm or to paint everyone as a villain to visit 'righteous' harm upon, who are violent.

Islam, like Christianity, cannot be violent or peaceful anymore than water can be dry.

Ramadan is celebrated by all, however behind closed doors there is alot of smoking, and "snacking." I have spent a lot of times fighting with and against Muslims.

168 people died. 19 of them were children.

I don't understand people who stereotype Muslims because one or two are idiots. And shame on the media for giving these stories so much more coverage than all the other murders, rapes and other crimes committed by other people, because they are just fanning the flames and propagating this stereotypical view for the ignorant, while ignoring other victims of senseless crimes.
