In her first interview since giving birth, the teenage daughter of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin said having a child is not "glamorous," and that telling young people to be abstinent is "not realistic at all."

Van Susteren was delicate with the teenager but pointedly asked if "contraception is an issue here."

"Is that something that you were just lazy about or not interested, or do you have philosophical or religious opposition to it," Van Susteren asked.

Bristol quickly answered that she didn't want to get into specifics. The best option is abstinence, the teen said, but added that she didn't think that was "realistic."

lulz. I love how she totally dodges the contracepive question. Translation: I had no idea what I was doing because of my mother's stupid abstinance only policy.

This, for me, has more to do with abstinance only education then Palin, and showing the stupidity of politicians who support it.

Meh. She'll pass an 8-pound ham through a 4-inch hole, the kid will be a moron, and Palin will be punishing herself by having to take care of yet another retard, besides the other 4 and herself.

What I find amusing is that my city has a high teen pregnancy rate, with one area actually being ex-titleholder of Western Europe's highest area of teen pregnancies, and it shares the name with a pregnant teen.

Some people think that their contraception choices are private and do not wish to talk about them. I however have no problem announcing to the world that my favorite contraception strategy is best summed up by the saying "birds of a feather flock together". After all you do not see storks following swallows.

On a good day, even my remedial English students produce better-formed sentences. Well, we didn't discuss "smart", we just discussed "smarter", I guess, so carry on.

Obama = Sauron,

Democrats = orcs,

Ron Paul = Aragorn.

Sarah Palin = Random Girl Number 5 who is killed by an orc ((and goes unmourned)) in the battle for Minas Tirith.

McCain = Gandalf. Good for some sagely advice, but not effective for much else other than badass fights with balrogs. (Cause face it, McCain could totally take a balrog.)

Abstainence is such an easy concept that it is silly to teach it in school for longer than 1 minute. It is really easy. If you do not have sex you will not get an STD or a pregnancy.

The real education should be on how to communicate with your partner and devellop good relationships. This is espescially true in schools that have kids from divorced families. Obviously, the kids cant learn about healthy relationships from these parental failures.

Heikoku 2, you are so focussed on me I wonder if you might have the hots for me or something. Maybe it is an opposites attract kinda thing. The funny thing is that I dont even know if you are a man or a woman. All I know is that you are as liberal as all get out and you cried to the mods about me when I suggested that you are un-American for being opposed to a war to topple a dictatorship and liberate an oppressed people because freedom is the essence of being an American and dictatorship is the opposite of being an American.
