Expect Voltaire quotes about quotes being stupid by people thinking they're incredibly smart, Churchill quotes about democracy (both ways) and possibly some Sun-Tzu and a dash of Jefferson et al.

"You see, according to Cocteau's plan I'm the enemy, 'cause I like to think; I like to read. I'm into freedom of speech and freedom of choice. I'm the kind of guy likes to sit in a greasy spoon and wonder - "Gee, should I have the T-bone steak or the jumbo rack of barbecued ribs with the side order of gravy fries?" I WANT high cholesterol. I wanna eat bacon and butter and BUCKETS of cheese, okay? I want to smoke a Cuban cigar the size of Cincinnati in the non-smoking section. I want to run through the streets naked with green Jell-o all over my body reading Playboy magazine. Why? Because I suddenly might feel the need to, okay, pal? I've SEEN the future. Do you know what it is? It's a 47-year-old virgin sitting around in his beige pajamas, drinking a banana-broccoli shake, singing "I'm an Oscar Meyer Wiener"." -Denis Leary in Demolition Man
"You and I are told increasingly that we have to choose between a left or right, but I would like to suggest that there is no such thing as a left or right. There is only an up or down — up to a man's age-old dream; the ultimate in individual freedom consistent with law and order — or down to the ant heap totalitarianism, and regardless of their sincerity, their humanitarian motives, those who would trade our freedom for security have embarked on this downward course." - Ronald Reagan
"Bachelors know all about parties. In fact, a good bachelor is a living, breathing party all by himself. At least that is what my girlfriend said when she found the gin bottles under the couch. I believe her exact words were, "You're a disgusting, drunken mess." And that's a good description of a party, if it's done right."

When I was much younger, I remember reading an editorial in the newspaper where the writer said that it is useless to continue to create fiction after Shakespeare, because no one has ever, nor can they ever, top him. You know what? That guy was probably right, but fuck him with a rusty knife anyway. It isn't as if anyone else is contributing something that we haven't seen before, either. Every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with its surrounding environment, but you humans do not. You move to an area and you multiply, and multiply until every natural resource is consumed. The only way you can survive is to spread to another area. There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern. Do you know what it is? A virus. Human beings are a disease, a cancer of this planet. --William Faulkner, "As I Lay Dying"
"Of course those standing before the tide with nowhere to run will say to it in despair, 'To rise would be stupid! Let us not quarrel, oh sea!' But the sea has no need of bargains, nor want for peace."
We and the world, my children, will always be at war.
Retreat is impossible. Arm yourselves.

Awesome. You post this and probably think that this quote is justification for your politicians and your beliefs, yet you forget the entire bit about how you should avoid at all costs being hated, which is what your actions have caused your politicians to be.
Dont quote Machiavelli when you clearly dont understand him NM.
Actually, he was just helping me. That was one my favorite quotes and I couldn't remember the wording. >.<

Hitler has some good ones about people who support politicians. One of Charlie Manson's is hilarious. He starts asking "Do you people ask you..." then he just goes off talking gibberish

From the first Pirates of the Carribean:
"So what now Jack Sparrow? We're to be two immortals locked in an epic battle until Judgement Day and trumpets sound, hmm?"- Captain Barbossa
"Or you could surrender."- Captain Jack.
That one really captured the dynamic of the relationship between these two characters: the flamboyant and grandiose Barbossa, always being undercut by the quirky but arguably smarter Jack. Those two are such excellent foils for each other.
"The future is not set. Their is no fate but what we make ourselves."- John Connor, Terminator.
Also, almost everything the Joker said in The Dark Knight.;)
And a real life one, though I may not be quoting it perfectly.
"All civilizations become either spacefaring or extinct." I think that was Carl Sagan, though I'm not sure.

Yes, that's Occam's Razor. Probably the most important addition to the scentific method since the Ancient Greeks.
Also I like to quote excerpts of Galileo's Il saggiatore (The Essayer, I think).
Galileo and Ockham are the pillars of modern thought.

My two favourite quotes are rather large:
Become accustomed to the idea that death is nothing to us. For all good and evil consists in sensation, but death is deprivation of sensation. And therefore a right understanding that death is nothing to us makes the mortality of life enjoyable, not because it adds to it an infinite span of time, but because it takes away the craving for immortality. For there is nothing terrible in life for the man who has truly comprehended that there is nothing terrible in not living. Death does not then concern either the living or the dead, since for the former it is not, and the latter are no more.
Epicurus
A cultivated mind, I do not mean that of a philosopher, but any mind to which the fountains of knowledge have been opened, and which has been taught, in any tolerable degree, to exercise its faculties, finds sources of inexhaustible interest in all that surrounds it; in the objects of nature, the achievements of art, the imaginations of poetry, the incidents of history, the ways of mankind, past and present, and their prospects in the future. It is possible, indeed, to become indifferent to all this, and that too without having exhausted a thousandth part of it; but only when one has had from the beginning no moral or human interest in these things, and has sought in them only the gratification of curiosity.
John Stuart Mill
But also, you've got to give props to Omar Little:
All in the game yo, all in the game.
This one made me laugh:
Ann Coulter - “I refer to him as B. Hussein Obama. He’s half white and half black, half Christian and half Muslim and half atheist. Something there for every Democrat.”
