How do you brush/comb your hair and what do you prefer to use (Soft/hard brush/comb)?

I brush my hair with slow and long strokes and I like to use soft combs.

I comb my hair softly with a lastic comb, workin down in. Takes a while seeing as me hair is downt o the middle of my abck and im male so it cant just hang there...

My hair is permed right now so I use a pick. It's plastic and pink and adequate.

I use a hard brush. There is something satisfying about just yanking the fuck out of my hair when it gets all tangly. TAKE THIS! AND THAT!

Combing hair in the morning takes away valuable sleep-time. Therefore it is all shaved off on a regular basis.

I like to use a hard comb and I brush it pretty quickly.

At the moment, a comb from a Christmas cracker, as it has nicely spaced teeth for the purpose. It doesn't exactly need much work, as I keep it tied back most of the time.

There's so little left (and the rest kept short) that all I do is towel-dry it after taking a shower.

When I had long hair I always used a flat wooden hair brush with metal bristles (with plastic tips) because most others would cause an electrostatic charge. But that was more than a decade ago...

I have to comb my hair every day. Eventually more than once.

Anyway, a couple of strokes with my comb do the trick. And I prefer metal combs (less statical electricity).

well, i'm a hippy with hair 3/4 down my back. i wash and condition it every other day, and it takes 5-10 minutes to brush, depending on what i've been doing. working in the office, during the week, means its not messed up much and easy to brush. rolling around the bed at the weekend... that's a different matter.

and wrt/ the OP, i do hard, fast strokes with a soft brush, then finish off slow with a hard plastic one ;)

I like a wide flat plastic bristle brush for thick hair, mine is long and thick and those soft bristles just make it frizz and a round brush is a nightmare.

I keep my hair short enough that I usually don't have to comb it. But on the occasions I need to, I use a hard plastic comb and long fast strokes (but not so fast that it'd hurt to hit a snarl).

I use a brush, and short hard strokes on the top, long hard strokes on the sides...

My hair is course and has a tendency to tangle easy, lol...

Although since I shaved my head and grew it to a short length its been easier...

With my current length, half the time I just run my fingers through it.

The rest of the time it's one of those plastic vented brushes and I just run it through each section once. So much better than when my hair was long...

I shave my head with a straight razor every other day/every couple of days, depending. I do run a comb through my beard occasionally.

I use a hard plastic comb...which can be annoying with long hair, but I prefer it to a brush, which makes my hair all poofy. :tongue:

I cut my hair like Dame Judi Dench and use a plastic bristled brush. Four or five quick strokes and it's done.
