Which is it?

I'm posting mainly because I've never been able to definitively decide myself. For a long while I was leaning toward #1 or #9, but #7 has its charms, and, although it's hard to give it an objective listen given its massive popularity, #5 is still #5. It's still good old #1 for me if I had to choose, but it isn't easy.

Thoughts? Poll is on the way.

Have you thought about playing them backwards, see if you like any one better then?

I assume we are speaking of Brahms? If so, 5 or 6--both are excellent.

Oh, I can almost guarantee you've heard #5, at the very least.

Yes, it's in the poll question. Sorry about that.
