Need some help from Brazil
greed and death

I am in desperate need of Census documents from Brazil from the 19th century in particular before and after the emancipation of slavery.
That failing a news paper article on the run up to emancipation (after the law of the golden womb) would suffice.
Just scanned and provide source/citation info would be all I need.
to compensate you for your time I will be willing to send some money.

I'll take care of it. It's too soon to talk about cash, though. I'll only charge anything if I have to translate something (it's my job, after all), copy it, or do some serious research. We're already talking in private, though ;).

Pah, all you do is get Spanish then throw some "ao"s and "c"s in. And some "~"s as well.

At 500 pounds per word? That'd be the cost of learning ALL LANGUAGES IN THE WORLD. TWICE. :p

On a side note, what's the Portuguese suffix for "-ly". Like really or greatly, for example. I know the Spanish use "-mente" as in normalmente, but what do you use?

So so so wrong. Of course, it also goes to show just how little you know of Spanish and Portuguese to begin with and that just because someone speaks Spanish doesn't mean this person automatically speaks Portuguese. I studied several languages since I was a little girl. And my dialect, Asturian, is a close cousin of Portuguese.

I don't know if I should take this as a snide comment or as a joke. Either way, I don't like it.
