The girl made a misjudgement. Being a teenage girl, that is kinda to be expected.

Making a misjudgment does not make you "stupid."

It just means you have poor judgment. Sometimes that poor judgment leads to patently fatal decisions. That does not give reason to blame other people for your poor judgment though. Your decision, your action, your consequence, no one else's.

Some people here on the other hand, seem to disagree with the idea of personal responsibility.

No, it doesn't. Even the most intelligent people in the world make mistakes, misjudge something or someone.

Sometimes that poor judgment leads to patently fatal decisions. That does not give reason to blame other people for your poor judgment though. Your decision, your action, your consequence, no one else's.

Yeah, but I'm not blaming anyone. I think this was essentially an accident. It wasn't a suicide, it wasn't cops beating anyone down, it wasn't a "stupid" person getting their just desserts.

Let me rephrase. Poor judgment at the time. Also, intelligence and judgment, for a variety of things, don't necessarily go hand in hand.
