Well...A conceited stupid question anyway, lol....

This is a picture from a few years ago, when I had long hair, chosen because it really highlights the contrast...

Now, I was wondering, What causes Facial Hair and, well, Head Hair to be different Colors....

Ive tried to research it forever, but Ive never found anything specific...

Just wondering if anyone hear has/knows about this....

Can you take another picture, maybe one in better lighting, because I'm just not seeing the difference.

I have blondish red facial hair, whitish blond(almost invisible) eyebrows and ash/grey blond hair on my head.

I, too, would like to know.

For the longest time my eye brows are blond(almost invisible despite being) , my beard was blood red and my hair was a reddish blond.

then i got out of the army and they kinda normalized.
turns out it was largely UV exposure. My hair on top of my head was blondish red because the army made me wear head gear a lot of the times i was out doors. My eye brows were completely bleached though. and my beard was blood red because i only grew it when i took vacation and was mostly inside.

try using sunscreen on your eye brows for a month and see if it darkens them up.
Seems us reds get it pretty good.

Hmmm, Interesting Theory, I had read that the cause of the Red hair genome was the lack of UV Rays in Northern Europe...

I have dirty blond hair and dark eyebrows - i was told it was something to do with Irish and/or Viking ancestry, or maybe Irish Celts, I can't quite remember, anyway it's a genetic thing whatever it is.

Your eyebrows match your pubic hair, something someone once told me and I've never looked at eyebrows the same way anymore, eyebrows are technically facial pubic hair.

The beard and hair should be similar but I know of blonds with dark beards - take my grandma...please... - so I'm guessing they're also controlled by different genes.

Pics or it didn't happen... Sorry, I'm just curious.

Also: Bingo, a combination of UV exposure and genotype determines hair color.

lol, thx, I miss it sometimes....But it just got too tangled to do anything with after awhile, never could find a brush thick enough to really work, my hair is too thick...

And also, long hair is hell in a Convertible with the top down, lol...or even the window down...

I dont see how Women put up with it...

I afraid I don't have any recent photos,
and I am somewhat camera shy.

I only have pics from 5+ years ago.

I notice this a LOT with Czech people, and Finns to a degree. I watch a lot of hockey, and it's always fun when playoffs come around and the playoff beards come in red when the person doesn't have red hair... I've always wondered about it too.

Well, I have different colours too: my beard is getting gray and my head hair is quickly turning invisible, and, actually, intangible as well, so it seems quite natural. :p

The same thing happens with my beard, I have dark brown hair, but half my beard was coming in red. I just chalked it up to being a European mutt.
