And, congrats to your friend. Sorry to hear your efforts were for naught, but it's a good thing when people recognize their own mistakes, too.

All I did was talk to her a little though I kept that minimal because i figured (rightly) they monitored her emails.

they owned the internet connection for the community. And i guess the use of it involved signing a consent to be monitored so it was legal.

Who actually reads those things anyway?
No one. which is why i think 99% of the population has technically signed over their assets to the software companies with out even knowing it. they are just waiting for the other 1% to sign and then they will swoop in with lawyers to take all our stuff.

Cults are never good. Now she's free to join an actual religion, like Scientology.
From anybody else this would have been a very witty and funny joke. But given your posting history, I think you're serious...

GnD here had a friend who was recently in a cult, although he wasn't exactly sure it was one, some time ago, and asked on the forum what he should do about it.

Nah, it was some kind of pseudo Christian cult group if I'm not mistaken. Valentasia just smells a possible fresh recruit and is out to flog his brand of cultism.

Let's not be hasty. My campus groups, who work hard to spread awareness of Objectivism, are often accused of cultish behaviour.
Fortunately, I am not maligned as a cult leader because my group doesn't fit the criteria, which evidently includes having a charismatic leader.
Wait...
