So, I will apparently now be an uncle to not only a nephew, but on Friday I will be an uncle to a niece as well. My brother and his wife decided to induce birth after the projected birth date passed. So, by 6:00am on 1/30/08, they should be in the hospital, getting ready to get the whole process started.

So to celebrate this occasion, Cuban cigars for all of NSG!

You know what's weird though, I'm not exactly excited about it, I'm kinda apathetic really. I dunno whether it's because I have other pressing concerns, or I just don't feel that strongly about the birth of my niece.

Little kids can be a lot of fun. Especially the liquids involved.

Well... you're a complete stranger on the interwebs, but still it IS good news anyway. :)

And remember that little kids are fun as long as you can hand them over to their parent if they 1) start to cry, 2) need a diaper change or 3) drool on you. :D

I'm the oldest, and according to my grandmother supposed to be working on nieces and nephews for my brothers and sisters as of 2 years ago. <.< I passed on that too.

Congrats man. I'd much rather be the uncle than the father. You get to be the cool guy brings gifts and who takes them out to do fun things that their father won't let them do, but you don't have to take care of them or anything.

Well my niece was born today, and she shares the same birth weight as her older brother when he was born. I swear, if they have 3 more children with the same birth weight, they can form a basketball team later on since they're apparently taking after my brother in the height/weight department.

I actually do find my niece cuter than my nephew. My nephew has chipmunk cheeks...like really obvious ones....
