As y'all know I have a friend who's been in a car accident last weekend, and she's home now. I have a handicap placard that I use because when I got it renewed, I had leg braces. I still use it from time to time, but not that often since I got my leg braces removed. I was wondering if it would be ok to lend my placard to my friend until she's well enough to walk normally again. Would I run into any legal problems with that?

She should be able to get a temporary tag if she's temporarily disabled.
Oh and I was looking at your resume earlier and you should replace all the past tense verbs with present tense......schedule instead of scheduled and such.....

Wil, your friend should be able to obtain a note from her doctor saying she needs the temporary permit. Lending her your permit, while in good faith, it could lead to issues of fraud. There are many people who do abuse the system, and those who desperately need it would find themselves hard pressed to get the permit because of the abuse that does happen. Encourage her to take the legal route on this. It's safer, even if a hassle.

No. You can both get in trouble. You could help her by going to DMV with her and her medical records and get the temporary red placard in her name.
