...obsessed with America's obsessions?

Exactly what it says on the tin.

Come on, take it a step farther. I dare you.

Why are people suddenly obsessed about whether people are obsessed about people's obsession obsession!?!?!?!?!?!?

Hell lets just take the next logical step... Lets model it using Prolog!

Nanatsu, it's really quite simple, I don't see why your head should be hurt over Genias's obsession over the fact that Americans seem to obsess over the fact that Brits are obsessively whining about how Americans are obsessed with Royalty!

Obsession(X,Y) :-
X = Obsession(X),
Y = Obsession(Y).

Obsession(X) :-
X = america
;
X = europe.

You should consider making tongue twisters as a profession. *nod*

I thought we didn't care about foreigners. Right? Pick a stereotype and stick with it, please. :D

People are interested in America because its powerful, controversial, and effects everyone. Plus America has exported its products and popular culture around the globe and done a great deal to draw attention to itself. Its only natural that people would pay attention to it.

Is that some infinite obsession iteration loop you're trying to code there or something?

Yup, America is like a reality show.:D

I fixed it. It is now.

It recursively iterates through all possible permutations of europeans and americans obsessoing over eachother, themselves, and their obsessions about eachother and themselves.

Why can't we just all obsess about ourselves and stop obsessing about others?!

Can you imagine the amount of protection orders there will be issued on account of that?:eek2:

No you didn't, it's just the tint of the mirror.

What you need is two mirrors facing each other.

Sorry, but I don't think you're infinitely recursive iteration formula captures the extent at how far back these reciprocal obsessions go!

Oh the algorithm expresses it. There just isn't enough time or computing power to calculate it.

You don't need it; its been happening for 233 years with a large spike in this interest for 63 years.

You don't need it;

If you can't express it in symbolic logic it ain't worth expressing.

I don't think your algorithm calculate how deep or far back these reciprocal calculations can go.

I don't need an algorythm I need simple subtraction and maybe a fancy pie chart to flash at you mathcentric people.

The question that was asked at some point in this thread is how long has it been happening? In direct response to why the world is obsessed with America etc.
Well, the simple answer is to find the answer to the question: How long as the United States been a country?

That answer is 233 years.
FreeSatania

I don't believe you. Better flash some pie charts and cite some random sources.

And why are mods obsessed with closing threads about people's obsessions with other people's obsessions about why Americans are obsessed with whatever they're currently obsessed with?

Because it's SPAMMITY SPAM SPAM, SPAM SPAM!
