OK, folks, it's time to gush about the greatest sitcom currently on television, "The Office."

Preference is for the US version, since it's the only one that's better than the UK original, but whatever.

Best line of last night's episode: "A painting can be beautiful, but I don't want to bang a painting."

"since it's the only one that's better than the UK original,"

Go and die. Steve Carrell is a shit comedian, right up there with all the other "comedians" like Adam Sandler, Ben Stiller and all those other comedians that always play EXACTLY the same character no matter what the movie.

Contradicted yourself there.

I'd hope the US one is better, UK one was rubbish.

You really need your medication altered if you honestly think the US version is better than the UK original. I don't like Ricky Gervais much, but he's 100 million times preferable to Steve 'shut up, you're not fucking funny' Carell. He'll do for a five minute bit-part in a film, but I couldn't take more than ten minutes of him without wanting him killed.

The office is very funny and humorous the first time you watch, but the second time you know what's going to happen, so you just focus on the bleakness of it all, and how boring an area Slough must be.

I've actually worked in Slough, and so I feel I have to leap to the defence of...

...nah, can't do it. Slough is arse. And not nice arse.

I have actually found I quite like Ricky Gervais in... well, every capacity that is NOT The Office.

I was never a big fan of The Office in the UK, and it wasn't until I encountered the even worse American cover-version that I could consider it to have any real merit, at all.

I agree, though. Steve Carell is funny, like shitting a clown is funny.

Whatever happened to just ignoring threads about something you're not interested in, rather than posting in them to say how much you're not interested in the thread's subject?

Rather juvenile and narcissistic behavior, isn't it?

I don't really care for either one, but Steve Carrell is no better or worse than Ricky Gervais at playing an oblivious ass. I can see preferring one or the other, but it's not like one is obviously superior.

I would like to see the original UK version. I like British humor.

Nope. Having a negative opinion doesn't mean you aren't interested. You may want to understand others' opinions, even if you strongly disagree.

True. All posts in discussion forums should agree with the initial proposition, because otherwise it is a poor reflection on those with differing views.

You're right. This isn't a thread. And there's no debate.

I stand corrected.

Look. We've already concluded there's to be no debating here, so kindly stop disagreeing. And as there's no thread, please stop posting into this void, or you'll be sucked through into another dimension full of deadly ninja kittens.
