I was thinking it would be fun if we could make our own national holidays for our countries.

You know... Like have a link to a calendar, then you can click on particular dates and put in the name of the Holiday and its description. Then on that particular day you get a message saying it's a holiday or something.

Just so people don't go hog wild with Holidays, you should only be given one Holiday when you first make a country; as your country grows you are able to add more Holidays.

I thought this up when I was watching a commercial where an entire city was having a massive pillow fight. My first thought was, "That would be a GREAT national holiday,” Then the wheels in my head started turning and I came up with this fun little idea. I just thought it would be something interesting. Feel free to let me know what you guys think of it!! :D

You can make a Wiki for your country and make any national holiday you want.

Off the top of my head it's www.nswiki.net but I could be wrong, rummage around the official advice and find it.

Even though this is in the wrong place, I'll play along.

My nation could neither come to a conclusion on what to call the day, what it would celebrate, or when it would be. So, as is the nation's custom, they punted. Now there is simply 'That Day.' It is whenever the individual citizen decides it should be and is to commemorate whatever they themselves can decide upon, however it is not uncommon for them to forgo this step until some smart ass asks them, to which the standard response is, "That Thing." Those smart asses are referred to as "Those Guys."
