Help required on Greek Mythology.

The Parkus Empire

I am designing a card-driven game based on Greek Mythology: in it, players function as Gods trying to hide their affairs while scheming to help their heroes; a two-player version would be Zeus vs. Hera. What I need: an online gallery featuring pictures of various gods and heroes that I can print-out and paste to cards. Everything from Atalanta to Zetes.

Can anyone help?

I refuse to help, mainly because I now have Oedipus stuck in my head. Thanks a lot.

Do I detect a hint of Oedipus complex?

No you don't, but a friend was talking about it the other day, and now this has reminded me, and now I'm thinking about Joseph Fritzl and I don't think I can take anymore *explodes*

Hmm, I may actually want to play this game.

It might be very enjoyable, combining some-tongue-in-cheek humor that should make card-driven-game players (terms like "Early War" will be there) and Greek mythology enthusiasts both laugh.

If you play as Zeus, do you get to impregnate your opponent in a miraculous guise of your choice?

No, since your opponents will be Gods; but NPC mortals are to be fair game via event cards.

No, that's Hercules*.

*adapted for U.S. television - go figure!!!

The marble statue of drunk Heracles taking a leak didn't seem appropriate for NSG.

But the Romans will not have a part in this game.

But if I can find just the right drawing of it, I might use it in the game.

There should be an "overactive libido" penalty for Zeus. It's all I ever recall him doing apart from the odd sadistic eternal punishment.

You're shagging another God (probably your own sister or daughter again) - miss a turn

You're shagging another mortal - miss a turn but gain one free hero

Fucking Oedipus again.

Shouldn't it be "You're shagging a mortal"?

Not if it is the voice of a complaining Hera.

Shouldn't it be "You're shagging a mortal"?

first one in terms of company

second in terms of sheer number

:p

EDIT: Parkus put it better

Are you thinking of Sisyphus or Prometheus?

It is a little more complex than that, but you seem to get the idea.

And Ixion & Tantalus, apparently.
