Owner of one of the world's sexiest male voices has died. Between him and Barry White, I don't know if there's enough sexy voice left to stave off Armageddon. :(

Er, I mean...

Aw, hell with it. I've read interviews from other actors from both Star Trek and Fantasy Island that stated he (Montalban) was one of the finest gentlemen actors still in Hollywood. It's sad to hear of his passing.

Well, yes, he did have a long life and all that. But, you still feel sad at the passing of someone like that I guess.

true, but how creepy would it be if he NEVER died!

In other sad news, Patrick McGoohan star of the classic "Prisoner" TV series has also died, aged 80.

Must be this cold weather.

reading wiki's entry on Richardo, I see that he suffered for years from a spinal injury wfter being thrown from a horse.
Which leads me into this dreadful pun, which I'm surely going to hell for:
"The pain Boss, the pain!"

On another note, what is it with Hollywood actors and horses? Seems to me that Horses really don't like Hollywood. They're always trying to kill them!
Reeves, Montalban, even Madonna. I'm sure there's been others.

Mr. Montalban seems like he was one of those really classy guys that if you ever got to meet him you'd be proud to say so in later years. He had the Midas touch... every role he played in became awesome just because it was him. He even managed to be awesome in Spy Kids.

I avoided this thread because I thought it was about Star Trek, but instead it was about Mr. Rourke...

It was a good run, thank you Mr. Montalban.

Didn't make it to AMC's new Prisoner.

McGoohan dying was the bigger story, in my opinion. The Prisoner is one-of-a-kind, and he was one of the greatest Columbo villains ever to boot. I'll give the new Prisoner a chance, but Jesus and Gandalf? I dunno.
