There was a 20k fall in highhold pass? The one that I always associate with that area was East Karana.

East Karana connected to Highpass hold. Highpass hold connected to highhold keep(was the only entrance as i recall).

Only really big fall I remember was in East Karana, but it's been a long time.


On a completely different and unrelated note, later in the game, I was able to pop shield of mana and survive a maximum damage fall (20k).

While not as originally played in the game, you should still be able to figure out my favorite video game song. :D

The Homeworld series was generally solid, esp. the Homeworld : Cataclysm menu song (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=RaMKw5ycdJ8).

Currently it's probably "M4 Part 2" by Faunts, from Mass Effect. That entire soundtrack is wonderful. Other favourites include the Smash Bros. Brawl version of Tetris B-type, Starcraft's Terran theme 2, "Mountains of Thunder" from the Wrath of the Lich King soundtrack, the Greatwood and Summer Fields tracks from Fable, Some of the tracks from Medal of Honour: Allied Assault, and Fluke's "Goodnight Lover" from good old Wipeout 64.

Chrono Trigger had by far the best music of the 16-bit era. But then again, it is the greatest game of all time. It remains the only RPG I could ever be bothered to play through twice. Even Fallout 3 didn't hold my interest long enough.

My personal favourite is the Kingdom of Zeal theme (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QufOb0e6Mns). In fact, the whole Zeal section is probably the greatest thing ever in a video game.

****! I'm playing Ace Combat 5 again right now. No joke. But yeah, The Unsung War is a really nice song and a good game, best of the series.


My favorites would have to be:


"Stars of Tears" or "Small Two of Pieces (ending)" from Xenogears.

Plus I can't forget the short, but great "Faraway Promise". Hell. I should just add the whole Xenogears soundtrack. It's still one of the greatest soundtracks of all time.

Some others high on my list:

"Melodies of Life", "Village of Dali" and "Immoral Melody" from Final Fantasy IX.

Luna's "Boat Song" and "Wings" from LUNAR: SSSC.

"Eternal Blue"(?) from LUNAR II: EBC.

Aeris theme from FF7 or Celes theme from ff6.

The Airship music in ff7 was just outstanding...

pretty much all the music in the Baldur's Gate series, the Homeworld series, the Dawn of War series, Total Annihilation and Supreme Commander.

Celes theme for FF6 and the Wizards and Warriors title theme were the best.

The medley from Megaman2 is awesome.

Oh, ol' Zelda theme and the entire sountrack of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night Sountrack, too.

Red Alert Death march. and i say no more.

Nintendo's franchises are famous for their soundtracks, especially Mario and Zelda. I would have to go with Kraid's theme, from Metroid. It's just so awesome.

Oh yeah, the NES/SNES Castlevanias had awesome music too.

i prefer tunes to songs, and don't have any video games, so have no idea which go with which, although i think some of the ones i like might be from the final fantasy series.

i have heard a bunch on various websites, some, supposedly of their composers or legitimate rights holders, which let me keep them, which i think are better then any thing that wins gramme's.

i just don't for the life of me remember the names of any of them.
there's a bunch on a site called 8-bit peoples.

All Blizzard games have great soundtracks. No exceptions.
Neverwinter Nights 2 - Storm of Zehir also had a truly epic soundtrack.
Might and Magic 6 - classic

One specific song I'm fond of and couldn't find anymore was the sorceress' castle theme from Heroes of Might and Magic 2. It's opera with bagpipes; Nuff said. I used to own the game, but I lost the CD. The background themes were written as audio tracks and all the recently available versions I found (p2p first, then I even bought the HoMM Collector's Pack for that single bleeding track) had the game without the original background music.

OMG, that's so true. I have that game and I find myself humming the theme song at odd times during the day.

The 1940's/50's music in Fallout 3 is brilliant, particlarly Danny Kaye's In the Congo (or whatever it's proper name is).
