I miss it, that show ruled, I didnt like the UK version as much, the host was nowhere near Drew Carey's level, lol...

I wish theyd bring it back though, it was funny as shit...

If you haven't seen the episode with Stephen Colbert, its quite funny.

I miss those bits they did at the end of the show where Colin was Ryan's arms. It always involved him eating huge amounts of something most likely dangerous. Those parts would literally have me in pain from laughing too much.

I liked The Irish Drinking Song, Hoedown, and Scenes from a Hat, that's about it.

The problem with the British version is that it is British. Havn't seen a funny British comedy since at latest the 80s.

I like the UK version better. especially that gal that was always on. she was heilarious.

The host may not be 'funny' like Drew Carrey, but his deadpan aura added to the show.

Best was the ending where the two chaps had to read the credits like drunk college students. when it started, they both keeled over and lay on their backs for the whole time.

well someone not looking too hard, look at red dwarf, The office and Spaced just to name three

(hell Spaced (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spaced) is one of my all time fav's, so happy the u.s never made the remake, would have ruined it)

I don't remember liking the US version so much. Too many props. There was a certain charm about the British version in just how little they were given.

Spaced is excellent, I love the episode where they go clubbing & they're dancing to a remix of the A-Team theme. And the one where Tim takes heaps of cheap speed, goes to the theatre & thinks he's still playing the PS zombie game. :)

Simon Pegg's done some really funny movies since too.

The comedy channel on the pay TV here plays the American Whose Line Is It Anyway all the time. It's very unfunny, particularly Drew Carey.

You then apparently haven't been watching any British comedy since the eighties, incidentally, I didn't find WLIIA particularly funny, but that's because it was a little to 'American'.

And even live comedy shows, which is the format being discussed. I mean come on - have I got news for you, anyone? QI?

Whose Line is the best thing ever. sucks we can't get any dvds in this country (apart from imported ones). i love both british and american versions of the show, and i think i'm in love with Colin Mochrie >.>

The British version is so vastly superior to the American one that it makes my insides hurt to think about it.

I only watched it if I lost the remote. 2 or 3 comics on that shot were good, the rest weren't that great. I rarely ever got beyond a chuckle when I watched it. People getting hit in the groin with softballs, now that's comedy.

is it gone? i thought it was "mostly harmless", but not exactly anything i would really miss.

I prefer the US one, because Drew Carey is funnier than Clive Anderson.
