What do you like on your croissants?

One day a week, we're getting free croissants and scones at work. Needless to say, the croissants always disappear first.

Me, I love my croissants with a bit of butter and strawberry jam, raspberry jam might do as well. Alternatively, I like them without anything on them, but dipped into hot cocoa before each bite. Messy, but oh so yummy.

You take the croissant and slice it in half and then slice a weed brownie in half and then put whipped cream on both halves of the croissant and both halves of the weed brownie and then stick it together. Build it.

But it's good to smoke first because if you're not baked when you eat it it's cloying, at least for me, but I'm not a big fan of sweets unless I'm baked.

Butter.
Sometimes with peanut butter, too. No jam/jelly.

They're also good when chocolate and/or almond paste has been baked in (no peanut butter with these versions).

butter, maybe jam, or just plain.

Apparently I am a minority, but I find the combination of croissant and chocolate absolutely awful.

Either dressed up with bacon and melted cheese when I'm in the mood for a light meal, or chocolate (I know a coffee house in Berkley, right next to Cal, that serves the most divine chocolate croissants), but I won't ever say no to just a plain old one when in need of a snack, though a bit of butter would be nice.

Yeah, cut it in half, butter the inside part and set if face down on a non stick pan until it starts to get a little bit crispy.

Lightly buttered (assuming that the person preparing the croissant was so hideously negligent as not to butter them properly before serving me), with some fruit (a bowl of grapes, orange, etc) and a cup of black coffee.
What can I say, I am one classy motherfucker.

Is there anything Pennsylvanians won't put cheeze wizz and onions on?
But, just because you're living in the second most godforsaken state in the Union (Massachusetts being worse by just a hair), doesn't mean the more sophisticated people's living north of you are so far gone from civilization and humanity. You can even get croissants in Kentucky, if you know the right bakery to go to.

I stopped eating croissants when France opposed the great patriotic will of our country in the Middle East and haven't started again. Hopefully, this will be a terrible blow to the French economy, one from which they will never recover from until they start supporting democracy like they should since we saved them in WWII.

OK, no, seriously I don't eat croissants that often. I like them plain, well usually lightly buttered but that's usually the way they come.

Nothing ON my croissant.

I like them cut in two halves longitudinally, then some thin slices of Parma dry-cured ham in it. Put the two halves together. Eventually reheat a tiny bit. Experience breakfast orgasm. :D

Well, for starters I don't know anybody who I've witnessed put cheese whiz and onions on croissant.

Then there is my testimony about what I like on one.

Even if I'm just an oddball case I'm living proof that its not everyone.

The funny/sad part is that there are people who actually feel this way. Often they're old American Legion members (VFW members seem to have more sense) and you should see the look on their faces when they find out I did two tours in Iraq and am planning on moving to France.

tuna or chicken salad in them for lunch. or chocolate in them for desert.

pretty much the same with tortillas, crepes, and pancakes, on the lunch side, cheesecake or cream of the chocolate for desert. same goes for sliced bread or even bagels for that matter.

although i still usually go with noodles and broth instead (for the lunch, the chocklet i usually put on unsweetened cherieohs or the like for desert). but croissants are nice for a break.

the croissants themselves i buy in a bag at the store, the fillings i make myself at home, unless i'm at a le bou, which is a kind of yuppie franchise 'espresso and' kind of place in california and possibly other western states, in which case of course, they make them with the fillings, including ham and cheese.
