While the people of Palestine-Gaza are being murdered, the so-called Middle East Peace Envoy, Tony Blair, is making like the Tar Baby, saying nuttin'. But where is he? George W Bush seems to know where he is. He is going to award him a medal. But the President is notorious for being misinformed. So where do you think TB is?

Blair climbed so far up Dubya's ass he got stuck. It happened a while ago, and has meant that Bush's digestive system has got more and more blocked up, which is why whenever he tries to speak he just spews out a load of crap. Tis the only way to get rid :)

Knocking about doing stuff apparently. Seems to be trying to work out the terms of some kind of ceasefire.

The US demands an immediate ceasefire! But not immediately!

Tony Blair is to receive the United States's highest civilian award, the Presidential Medal of Freedom, from his friend George Bush next Tuesday, at a White House ceremony during the latter's last week in office.

.....and......

The medal is awarded "for especially meritorious contributions to security or the national interests of the United States, world peace or cultural or other significant public or private endeavours". It was not immediately clear last night under which heading the former prime minister had qualified. He is only the second British prime minister to receive the award, following Margaret Thatcher in 1991, though other recipients have included Lord Carrington, the former foreign secretary, and Lord Robertson, former defence secretary and secretary general of Nato.

Its a shame I didn't start a thread on this yesterday, as I could have done a poll....

It won't be long until it's Lord Blair, though. He'll get craploads of awards and shit piled upon him by the American and British governments, which is ridiculous.

Last time I read/cared about Blair, was just after he had resigned.. He seemed to have good plans -- all about helping people and stuff. Hmm.

Oh and what a horrible fucking poll.

It's still got something acknowledging the politicians contributions, but it's not really to say thanks. Instead it more means "fuck off to the House of Lords and don't come back".

Maybe he's no longer on Earth. Lizardmen only take the most important and influential jobs. Middle East Peace Envoy? Like peace is ever going to happen  Waste of time. No, I reckon he's back in Draco by now.

Fair enough.

I'd personally like the man to go and never come back, but there we go.

The title of this thread sounds like a children's book.
"Where is Tony Blair? Is Tony Blair under there? No, John Major is under there (John Major was the only boy in history to have run away from the circus to become an accountant). Is Tony Blair out there? No, Harold Macmillan is out there (Harold Macmillan was a strong proponent of the British Nuclear Deterrent, which was sort of like pointing a water pistol at a tank). Is Tony Blair up in the air? No, James Callaghan is up in the air (James Callaghan is dead. So, by British law, he must spend at least 180 days a year haunting a boarding school, mansion or decaying castle)."

So, in answer to your question, Tony Blair is probably either under the stairs or playing with Brother Bear.

Futiley trying to sort out a ceasefire. Can't really blame a powerless envoy for having no effect when most of the countries in Europe are telling Israel to shove its offensive right up its arse to no avail.

Some good answers here, thank you, and a good spread of poll choices as well. I particularly liked Cameroi's reply. Yes, Fiddlebottoms, I've written things like "Brer Blair, the Oil Slick and the Robot". Nakor and Yootopia, I honestly didn't see any reports of TB doing any envoying. I used to read the Telegraph only in the cricket season. That TB might be in Yale or South Park didn't occur to me. And I must be getting the hang of things here. The first threads I started on, "Nation States" and "International Incidents" attracted 0 and 2 replies.
