What's your age?
As the title asks, inspired by a pair of comments in this thread (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=578053).

Why the sad face? Being 20 kicks ass... Other than not being allowed to have fun in Vegas... And having high insurance premiums... But other than that crap being 20 is awesome. Way cooler than 19. And honestly, being 18 is way overrated, usually still in school, living at home, that kinda crap.

18. Its crappy. First year in college, poor as ever, driving a jalopy ford escort (ahh.. but a jalopy with brand new tires :-) )
I can't wait until I'm thirty. I can't wait to be employed in a job I enjoy (or at least pays for a nice car and a house) and be married with kids. Also, with lower insurance premiums, increased access to the world, less restrictions on my license, etc. But mostly I can't wait to be a professional artist of some sort with a wifey and kiddos.

Bah. That sucks even more. Well, I hope at least I'm out of college by then. Hopefully with a job. I've already met the probable wifey, so that's okay. I just need to support them.

In my opinion being 30 is great. I think its the age when people generally recognize others as being fully adults. The twenties in my opinion people still have their adult training wheels on.

According to nationstates I am one day old. Really, I'm 18 though.
yah, believe it or not, there were a total of five computers in the entire world the year i was born. PERSONAL computers still didn't exist when i was in high school. kennedy (jfk) was shot when i was in high school, the first manned moon landing was shortly thereafter, and males my age were being drafted to kill people in a place called viet nam.
when i was in grade school isenhour was u.s. president. american's in the 50s might have had a lot of spending power, but very little of what i would have prefered to spend it on, if i'd have been of age then, existed yet. other then land and building materials. though i could have gotten away with building the wierd kind of house i would prefer to live in without having to worry about building codes out in the boonies where i would have wanted to build it. and there were still lots of trains and bussess to ride, i mean in proportion to population, way more then now, because while cars were already popular and a lot of people wanted them, not everyone had one, and almost no one actually needed or had to have one.

Ah, youth. A gift granted to those who cannot possibly appreciate it. It's funny how people wish so fervently to be x year olds until they actually are x years old, then they end up wondering where the years between now and then went. Oh well, such is life.

Why the sad face? Being 20 kicks ass... Other than not being allowed to have fun in Vegas...I'm in Aus, I can gamble all I want (Which is not much - i might put $1 into the 1c machine occasionally) And having high insurance premiums... I'm trying to get a car, and it's going to cost me $1200/y to insure. That is for someone who has held their license for 3 years, without any claims or tickets. But other than that crap being 20 is awesome. Way cooler than 19. And honestly, being 18 is way overrated, usually still in school, living at home, that kinda crap.19 was sweet. Still sound young, and it's not immoral to be hooking up with 16 year olds. 20 it starts to get a bit weird. 18 people still don't take you seriously.

You know, it's harder to snap out of that than one might imagine. I know that my days are going by unbelievably fast. I moved into my own apartment about seven months ago, yet I have no idea where those seven months went. As a matter of fact, I don't really know where the last seven years went. I've heard plenty of phrases that life passes way faster than we know it and that if we don't make ourselves really appreciate it, it'll be gone before we even get the chance to. And there's a part of me that sort of knows that is true now and that it will be true when I'm much closer to death, yet it's still pretty difficult to just, er, enjoy each day. I'm working on it, though. (:
Oh, and to answer the original question, I'm 22.

etc..You can see where it´s going.
