I'm going to be absolutely insufferable now, rubbing it in everyone's face.

So he wasn't the best QB by any statistical measure, and even though he was on one of the best teams in the league, and apparently had a great season, his team finished second in their division.

Chalk another one up to reputation over performance.

Rubbing what, exactly, in everyone's face? You did nothing.

Well he cheered them on...doesn't that count or anything?

In the end... no.

Not remotely.

In a manner of speaking, actually.......

....nah, that's not fair. I like the guy fine, but it seems that other players on other teams had more individual impact. I admire Peyton's ability to make fun of himself and he IS a great QB.

i didn't mean that as a comment on anyone other then those i mentioned. i have no idea anything about the guy in question. just the (to me) ambiguity of most valuable player.

most valuable to whom or what? player of whom or what.

i would think brittany and paris count as "players". although that's only a guess, and may be just one of those publicity kind of reputations that don't really have that much to do with the people behind them.

payton manning i've never heard of that i know of, not being an enthusiast of spectator sports generally.

I won't rub it in beyond this post, but I told you the Chargers were going to beat him -- MVP trophy or not.

I had money on the Chargers to win. T'was a great game though. That Sproules (sp?) guy was awesome.

When I get home I'll look up my old stand up jokes about him..
