I know the OP. He's the year below me on my course. I honestly don't think that anything that he's been involved is all that bad, nor do I think, if the police have been notified, that they will do anything about.

However, what still remains is that this guy is more of a regular at my local bar than I am. So it's not like I can really avoid him. What I'm afraid of is that the next time I go for a drink I'm going to blurt out some freudian slip, which would just be all kinds of awkward.

btw: I'm not ping, I'm the friend that ping mentions. The hell if I'd ever get a SA account.

Also, as fun is it might be to poke fun at him at university, I don't think I could bring myself to do it. I got a laugh at the online schadenfreude, but I wouldn't want to have anything to do with anything that might ruin his actual life.

Ahh reading further I find that this forum says he is a furrie. *shrug* Shit I know some of them and they are decent folx, people are hard from time to time. I guess the realtivly annymouseness of the web makes people a tad braver.

I definitely agree with leaving him alone. But I think I'll probably end up sniggering when I pass him in the bar or something by accident, and so close to this 'event' he might catch. Especially as he will know that someone who goes to this bar knows his internet history.

I don't judge him for anything of the things that have been revealed by the thread. I don't necessarily understand them, but that doesn't mean I judge him for it. I have a friend whose uncle is in jail for abusing him when he was 5 -- that's the sort of thing I would judge him over.

The Goons were also jumping on him for apparently grooming a 12-yr-old in this post (http://www.emo-corner.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=3072&st=0&p=31652&#entry31652). But it seems to be more of a surprise at the fact that the kid knows he's bi at 12.
