The nation count in NS1 continues its steady decline.

Do you think NationStates 1 will cease to exist or at least continue to lose nations as NS2 gains features and nations?

I find NS2 hopelessly dull.

This is not an uncommon symptom...

Well, in terms of gameplay, I prefer NS1. The NS2: I experimented, but I think it's harder to play.

Meh, I found NS2 to be boring too. I was hoping for a better system to "wage war" with, but it's...too peaceful dammit!

I think that NS1 should continue to exist, but NS2 should also exist equally.

I don't see as much passion amongst new players as in years gone by.

I can't remember when I last logged into Mykai over on NS2...

My problem with NS2 is you can't really relax, you have to constantly think about Trade, and alliances, and wait till war mode comes out. NS1, you can just sit back, relax, and watch your nation grow and prosper.

NS1 has better issues for you to decide on, and plus it has more people. There's maybe a total of 10 active nations on NS2, plus its in beta stage. =\

I hate the noobs of NS2. I prefer the company of other fossils, especially the company of LG for he is funnier then a million drunk noobs in an argument over who has the bestest guns.

Hey! What about me?

I haven't tried NS2, and I don't really want to. The only reason I go on NS anymore is to talk in the forums.

To be honest, I think NS2 is a bit whack. It's one of those games that promises freedom but in reality you have a big advantage if you pay for it (ambassador). I've lost interest in it. Maybe later I'll regain it and continue if my country isn't destroyed by then. I'm pretty much done with playing NS1 actively as well, I keep getting repeat issues.

Just wait 'til summer and we'll have new nations again.

Nope never heard of it (is NS one of those game/forum things where all the autisms analyze everything and play fantasy?)

My time on NS1 has dropped dramatically, mostly because of RL, but partly because I've been trying NS2. However, I seriously doubt that NS2 will hold my interest long-term. Unless war is really good, NS2 doesn't have enough exitement to keep my interest. Neither does NS1, but I can just let my nations sit when I'm busy without hurting my GDP, which I can't in NS2. Besides, trade/diplomacy gives me a headache. :p

Thanks for all the replies. There was supposed to be a poll with this... Hmm. Guess it never made it here. At any rate... I like the sense of community in NS1. There isn't a sense of community in NS2 since everyone is placed in small worlds and interaction outside of your world is impossible in-game. Like you guys, I just use NS as a social gathering place now.

At some point, my prediction is that they're going to turn off NS1, and with it, the NS1 related forums.

I tried NS 2, but it is no fun as there was so much I would have to pay for, and I refuse to spend the money. Also II gives a person practice writing stories and said person can be more imaginative than I bet they can using the war engine in NS2.

Unless said "imaginative RPer" is like the quote from Dictatertots in Scandivan's signature (see post #15)

I'll stick with NS1. I have a region, people, and I don't think any of us have actually dived into NS2. To parrot everything else that's been said, NS2 is boring.

I don't think people will go over to NS2. The bells and whistles are nice and all but worlds & the fact that you have to pay for the same features you get in NS1 for free is stupid. I'll never get as into N2.
